Brigitte helped us sell our home of about 7 years. We got in contact with her after we saw another home in our neighborhood with a similar floorplan sell less than one week after hitting the market. When she first visited our home we listed several areas we had concerns would impact the price we could receive for the house; Brigitte was very candid with regards to what items made the most sense to change (namely painting and carpet cleaning, but a few other items that impacted the staging/presentation of the home as well), and her advice on other items that would likely not impact our selling price was greatly appreciated so we could best spend our limited dollars. Once the improvements were complete and the house cleaned she had a professional photographer take pictures of the entire house for the MLA listing online. Her advice regarding a selling price was also very helpful; her proposal was higher than what we were originally thinking but we trusted her guidance, and she believed that even at a higher listing price the house would get plenty of traffic but any offers would likely come in below the list price; this helped us mentally prepare for what to expect as far as offers rather than focus on just the list price. She also hosted an open house the first weekend it was on the market, which further drove traffic and by the end of the first weekend on the market we had an offer. Brigitte offered great guidance as far as what was most fair for a counter-offer, as well as recognizing when the revised offer from the buyer were about the best we could expect from that buyer. She never instructed us whether to accept or reject the offer, but was straight-forward in her assessment of the offers and situation ? we appreciated the honest feedback rather than trying to ?spare our feelings? by trying to say what we wanted to hear instead of the truth. Through the entire process ? prior to listing, getting posted to MLA, the negotiation process as well as the process from ?accepted offer? to closing - Brigitte was always responsive to phone calls and e-mails and helped us navigate a process with which we were very unfamiliar. I would highly recommend her to anybody looking to sell their home.
