I have had the misfortune of attempting to purchase a home listed by Markus and his team for the better part of a month. This is my first time buying a home, and I was genuinely excited to find a property close to the neighborhood I grew up in. Unfortunately, the experience that followed has been incredibly disappointing. Despite defects identified during the inspection, Markus has refused to address them or engage in what I consider a reasonable negotiation. More concerning, he is now refusing to sign the cancellation while simultaneously re-listing the property despite my understanding that we still have an open contract. As a first-time homebuyer, I expected a professional process and reasonable communication. Instead, I have been met with what I consider an extraordinary lack of professionalism and cooperation, and the situation has prevented me from confidently moving forward with my search for another home. I expected better from the leader of a team that otherwise appears to do good work. Markus, your team is ultimately judged by the example you set. Unfortunately, the example I've experienced here is not one I would want any prospective buyer to encounter. Do better. A real estate transaction should end with a successful sale and a commission check not a dispute that resembles something closer to a playground argument.
