My wife and I were searching for a home in the Port Charlotte area to use as our winter residence. However, 2021 presented us with a very challenging competitive seller's housing market in addition to the hurdles we had to face with COVID-19 and living out of state. I was impressed with Barb's online reviews and talked to her several times over the phone. She quickly gave us a level of comfort and trust that she would help us find exactly what we were looking for. Barb showed us more than 10 houses over 2 days while we were in the area for a family vacation. We even put an offer on one that quickly became a backup offer. After vacation, she continued to view homes that we sent to her on our behalf and provided feedback or contacted us to virtually walk through any that were worth the extra look. In the hot seller's market, we were beaten out on offers for several different homes. Barb guided us through those frustrating times and helped keep us on task with patience so we didn't end up overpaying for something and regretting it later. Eventually, we found a home we loved at a fair price and our offer was accepted. Throughout the rest of the process, Barb and Tawnya were there to help with everything, including contract negotiations, setting up inspections, appraisals, repairs, and all the way through to the mail-away closing. Tawnya provided us with instructions for switching utilities and recommendations for lawncare, cleaning, and other services. Even after closing, Barb and Tawnya treated us with a professional cleaning of the home. Now, we look forward to staying there for the first time soon.
