Buying your first home is expected be an arduous untertaking, and with good reason. I personally never fell into that train of though, I believe that with the correct representation buying a home, first or otherwise, is an exciting and rewarding experience. A lot of agents I encountered did not want to take time and answer my particular questions, it was almost as if they only sold homes to those that bough them before. Those agents lost a client.
