We met Eric on the street, literally. My husband and I were walking around a neighborhood we loved with our two kids, knocking on doors to see if anyone knew of homes that might be coming up for sale before they hit the market. We told Eric what we were doing, and by the next day he had sent us a thoughtful list of homes he thought we should target with that strategy. It was such a small thing, but it immediately stood out to us that he had taken the time to help before we were even his clients. And the list was legit! After talking with a few other realtors, we knew pretty quickly that Eric was our guy. We were first-time home buyers and the process felt intimidating, but Eric was wonderful every step of the way. Hes authentic and easy to work with, while also being incredibly responsive and on top of everything. We found the open home touring process to be very easy and smooth. Paddy always had time for us when we had one home we wanted to see or a handful to see. We would discuss a list of homes with Paddy and he would do the necessary coordination to ensure we had access to the homes outside of a general open house. This made for a very expedient home touring process, where as a group we could walk through the homes, talk through potential issues, and discuss future improvements. Paddys background in construction and home building was invaluable with the home touring process. He helped us understand which issues with the houses were critical and which were actually more minor in nature. We could talk through potential enhancements and improvements, understanding what was feasible and what was not, which helped us narrow our home search. Paddy truly had our best interests at heart. He never pressured us into making an offer, and he was equally dedicated to ensuring we didn't settle on a home that wasn't the right fit. Paddy truly wants to help you find the right home. He takes the time to understand what you're looking for and accordingly makes recommendations on neighborhoods and homes. We looked at many different homes and Paddy was extremely patient and supportive with the entire process. We will be reaching out to Paddy again if we find ourselves moving again (we found a perfect home, so I dont think thatll be any time soon). Buying houses is hard in Walnut Creek right now, so much so that we went door knocking to see if we could get an angle in on some of the neighborhoods we wanted to be in. Maybe someone knew a neighbor that was planning on selling? We wanted to be first in the door. A bit crazy? Maybe, but these are crazy times. At the time we had talked to a couple agents but hadnt committed to anyone. I work in software, and a lot of real estate is very vibes based. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, but we really wanted someone who was going to approach things with a more systematic lens. While knocking doors, we happened to pass one of our flyers to Eric, who was out with his family taking a walk. He mentioned he was a real estate agent, chatted to us a bit, and then took our flyer. By morning he sent us a spreadsheet with houses that he knew of that were off market that he could help us explore. Right away he came with data, and showed he was willing to put in real work to help us figure out where to find a house. This continued through every interaction. He was willing to put real work in, and show us the data, not just vibes. Emailing off market houses, really figuring out what tradeoffs we wanted to make, helping us negotiate. Eric is a thoughtful guy, and he really cares. And now, we have a great house in a wonderful neighborhood, and were so psyched. We cant wait to make it our own and have our little kids grow up here.
