Jim is a hardworking, detail oriented agent who will go the extra mile for his clients. We were planning to move to Ames from Minneapolis and initially met Jim when we went to an open house he had scheduled. Unfortunately, due to construction in the area and unknown to us, Jim had cancelled the open house. However when we called him to ask about it he gladly came out to the house and gave us a walkthrough. We determined that that house wasn't for us, but Jim offered to show us another home in the area that he had listed and this was without an appointment. After looking at other homes on our own, we called Jim and came back down to Ames to meet with him and make an offer. Jim had provided us with the results of the home inspection that the owners had done. This provided us with invaluable information on the condition of the home given that it was 80 years old. Jim arranged for us to meet with a mortgage company rep so that we could get pre-approved prior to submitting the offer. Once the offer was submitted Jim worked with the sellers to get items we had requested corrected. He also provided us with recommendations for getting the hardwood floors refinished and some other repair work done. Jim even offered to come help me pull up the old carpet covering the hardwood floors! This was probably one of Jim's more difficult sales because in the middle of the process I lost my job and therefore we weren't going to be able to close as planned. Jim worked with the seller to allow us to rent the home while I searched for a new job. Jim stood by us the whole time. Prior to us actually moving down to Ames, Jim kept us informed on how the repairs we had requested from the sellers were going. Jim is an outstanding agent and willingly goes that extra mile for his clients. I highly recommend him to anyone planning a move to the Ames area. It was a pleasure to work with him.
