We selected Judy to sell our mother's home after carefully interviewing several local Realtors.Several factors affected our decision:1. She is a top producer in the local area.2. Her internet listings were very professional. Her photography is excellent. Compare the photos in her listings with those of other realtors.3. She gave a fair assessment of the home's value. It was a unique property down by Silver Beach, and the prices can vary wildly. She seemed apologetic for not knowing precisely what it would sell for (she gave us a 10% range), but I interpreted that as honesty. 4. She seems to have a good support network. We never interacted with any of her support staff, but I believe she has help.Once we engaged with Judy, she did everything we could hope for. She found a buyer, got us a fair offer, and kept us updated throughout the process. She was very accessible, often taking calls on weekends and evenings. Most e-mails were returned within 12 hours. Considering the number of listings she has, this seems very good.Our home inspection found one minor plumbing issue. Judy arranged for the plumber and made sure the problem was fixed to everybody's satisfaction. Total cost to us was less than $100, which was very fair.The only reason I did not give her a score on "negotiation skills" is that she was both the buyer and the seller in our transaction, so she really wasn't negotiating for us alone. However, she did do a good job of finding a buyer, and she was very clear about her fiduciary responsibilities to both of us. I think if she had been the seller only, she probably would have done a good job of negotiating on our behalf.Some people may be put off by Judy's aggressiveness in asking for the listing, but I wasn't. I took it as a sign of a committed professional salesperson.
