Unfortunately, the interaction was extremely off-putting and unprofessional. Rather than politely introducing herself or asking my partners name, Galina immediately asked, aEURoeWhere did you see this property listed?aEUR?aEUR"despite having a sign in front of the property. She then asked, aEURoeHow much can you afford?aEUR? When my partner explained that she was looking to stay in the $4,000s, Galina responded, aEURoeWestfield is very expensive. This listing is over $6,000.aEUR? The entire interaction came across as dismissive, condescending, and unnecessarily rude. I also have concerns about the appropriateness of asking a prospective renter how much they can aEURoeafford,aEUR? and whether that is consistent with fair-housing requirements and professional standards. At minimum, it was an extremely poor way to handle a prospective client inquiry. Real estate professionals should be welcoming, respectful, and professionalaEUR"especially when someone is calling about a property they are marketing. This interaction left such a negative impression that I would never consider transacting with Galina Kaplan, nor would I recommend her services to anyone I know. Galina, having a rental listing in Westfield doesn't give you a reason to treat prospective clients as though they're beneath you. You need to do better. This behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable.
