8 years ago after having NINE offers fall through while trying to purchase our first home together, my husband and I started asking friends if they knew a good realtor. We were selling a house in the Darnestown area of MD and we needed to know what repairs and what other changes we needed to make to the house to sell it quickly and for fair value. Kevin basically said that he would not recommend any changes that did not return around $3 to $4 for every dollar spent. And that was what advice we were looking for. So we removed the ceiling fans, had the interior and exterior of the house painted and added some wood flooring where there was none and replaced some carpets. The house went on the market in late Jan and we had a contract in early March for the price that I thought it should sell for. Kevin & his staff was very responsive when we had questions and they kept us informed as we proceeded through the process. We contacted Kevin 3 months before we wanted to sell in order to have time to fix the house up properly. I would suggest that you do 3-6 months depending on what type of changes you may need. We did it in 3 months, but it was a rush.
