I went to a lecture that Jan gave on owning your own home. She was very knowledgeable due to her experience in this field. Knowing how daunting this process could be, I left her class feeling motivated to buy. We followed all the steps she outlined and then called Jan. She arrived at the address of our interest before we did ??. We toured the property and quickly decided we would buy, within a few minutes Jan contacted the seller and the deal was done. Brian Burke from Coldwell Banker in South Windsor CT, told my realtor to submit last and final offer. We did submit a generous offer and my agent and Brian were discussing the sellers terms. After all set and done. My offer was accepted. My wife and I signed the contract and we worked with the sellers regarding their terms. The next day, I get a call from my agent stating that the buyers received a better offer with no inspections. In other words the agent wants me to buy a half a million dollar house and not do an inspection. What he did is not fair, not only for me but every person looking for a home. If a contract was signed and all final offers were in, why did he continue to receive offers. He gave us the contract and also his word. I guess we cant trust anything he says. A contract and most importantly your word should mean something, but I guess not everyone follows the same rules. My advice is to not do business with Brian Burke. When they accepted the offer my wife and I got really excited because after two years we found our house, to then get the call stating that they gave it to someone else. Imagine the disappointment. He instead of taking other offers, he should have discussed with us if we wanted to match or do something different to accommodate us since we had a signed contract.

Brian is absolutely a great realtor! He was totally engaged with our home sale and kept us informed during the entire process. We would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to buy or sell. A true professional at what he does. Thank you!
