There were times when we worried that we had missed an opportunity to find a house we really wanted. We entered the market toward the end of peak season, and at times the inventory that met our criteria was very limited. John was always reassuring and reminded us that houses would continue to come on the market and that we shouldn't settle for something we weren't happy with. His calm, even-keeled personality was a huge asset throughout the process. He has a very reassuring presence and never rushed or pressured us. John was also honest about the houses we looked at. He would point out potential problems and help us understand what kinds of repairs or expenses we might be taking on, something that was particularly important to me because I know very little about home repair. He was great about giving us his genuine opinion about a property, including both the positives and the potential drawbacks. His professionalism really stood out after our offer was accepted. We had a challenging seller and, at times, a difficult negotiation, but John remained calm, low-key, and professional throughout the entire process. He attended the home inspection, helped us navigate last-minute negotiations, and was there for us through closing. He never added to the stress of the situation; instead, he was steady and reassuring and helped us work through stressful situations and suggesting different ways to approach it.
