We were relocating to Rochester, MN from Colorado. Alex was recommended to us by my family as well as others that my sister had asked. He was thorough, prompt, easy to work with. He accommodated my brief time window for visiting properties (four days!) We actually found the house we wanted on the first day, and had an accepted offer in two days. Then we started the whirlwind of loan application, insurance, inspection, utilities acquisition, etc. Alex was helpful with all of it. He was able to recommend trustworthy people to serve as a lender, inspector, any repair bids we needed, etc. His knowledge of Rochester and reliable businesses was very helpful. Before I even traveled to Rochester, Alex had onboarded us with a Zoom call that answered all of my husband's and my questions. He patiently answered any inquiries I sent his way as I searched for properties online. His insight into neighborhoods and even traffic patterns was terrific. Alex has a high expectation of himself and others regarding integrity and professionalism. I appreciated that about him. He was fun and insightful as we toured properties. I especially valued his advice about which aspects of a home might have less appeal when it comes time to sell the property down the road. All in all, Alex Mayer is a great guy to work with. I am so glad he was recommended to us. He helped make a stressful time so much easier. I have yet to meet his dogs, but I hope I get to at some point in the future!

Being in both the mortgage and real estate industry myself, I knew exactly what I was looking for when it came time to choose an agent. Because Rochester, MN is outside the area I personally serve, I wanted to work with someone who truly knew the local market. He understood that marketing an acreage property is different from selling a typical home and knew how to position and market the property to the right buyers. His knowledge, preparation and connections with other industry professionals were evident throughout the process. Beyond the professional side, Alex is just very personable and easy to work with. He is patient, easygoing and never makes you feel rushed or pressured. And meeting Atlas and Kaia was an added bonus! Having worked with a lot of real estate professionals throughout my career, I don't hand out recommendations lightly. Alex was phenomenal. We all know there are some things you want in a realtor: They have to be good at communication, they have to be available, they have to know their area and their business, they have to be responsive etc. Alex was all of these things. Even on weekends and odd hours Alex was there to respond to our requests and our questions, he was so helpful and prompt and knowledgeable. Beyond this however, there are a lot of things that you might not know you want in a realtor - and thankfully Alex is those as well. He helped with negotiating some repairs in closing, and dealt with a minor title problem without adding any stress for us.
