We were relocating to Rochester, MN from Colorado. Alex was recommended to us by my family as well as others that my sister had asked. He was thorough, prompt, easy to work with. He accommodated my brief time window for visiting properties (four days!) We actually found the house we wanted on the first day, and had an accepted offer in two days. Then we started the whirlwind of loan application, insurance, inspection, utilities acquisition, etc. Alex was helpful with all of it. He was able to recommend trustworthy people to serve as a lender, inspector, any repair bids we needed, etc. His knowledge of Rochester and reliable businesses was very helpful. Before I even traveled to Rochester, Alex had onboarded us with a Zoom call that answered all of my husband's and my questions. He patiently answered any inquiries I sent his way as I searched for properties online. His insight into neighborhoods and even traffic patterns was terrific. Being in both the mortgage and real estate industry myself, I knew exactly what I was looking for when it came time to choose an agent. Because Rochester, MN is outside the area I personally serve, I wanted to work with someone who truly knew the local market. We interviewed a couple of agents, and Alex was by far the one who stood out. He was on top of his game from the very beginning. One of the biggest things for me was communication and responsiveness. I pride myself on getting back to my own clients promptly, so I have pretty high expectations when I'm on the other side of a transaction. Alex was excellent. Alex responded within 2 hours, even though he was on vacation. We talked on the phone and set up to meet for lunch at 5 west. When we met at 5 West, Alex explained the home buying process in terms I could understand Alex is very easy, going patient trust worthy, he's also very knowledgeable in real estate, Alex worked with my schedule when looking at houses, he pointed out good and bad things in his house, Alex brought his dogs a few times so I can meet them. For anyone moving to Minnesota--especially incoming residents at Mayo Clinic--Alex is quite simply the gold standard. ZillowVERIFIED Alex was truly the best at handling every situation we ran into during our selling and buying processes. He was more than willing to show us homes days on end, which led us to our dream home for my fiance and all 6 of our fur babies! He spend time with us upfront explaining what to expect and outlined potential pitfalls. Selling our house was far from easy, the buyers were clear to close but a few hours before closing we were informed that the sale would not be going through - we expect the buyers had been dishonest with their lender and agent, but well never fully know. This cause a lot of stress on myself and my fiancee, but Alex could not have handle it any better. Alex was able to help us keep the earnest money from the sale that had fallen through. He will personalize the home buying process for you, based on your needs. I felt confident and prepared to enter the home buying journey after our first meeting. Once the process started, he communicated with me the whole way through. Checked in frequently to make sure if I had any questions, I would get the answers. When I found my dream home, he was there the whole way through, from the minute I did my first walk through to placing an offer to negotiations on that offer to finally closing. From placing an offer, it was about 25-30 days, and I signed my first home, under original asking price with closing costs covered. You can completely tell the passion Alex has in his career. When the process first started, Alex invited me into his office to discuss everything - what the process would look like from start to finish so there were no surprises. His communication and education is top notch. He answered any questions I had, and, from that meeting, we got started. He set me up on the app so I felt like I had total control. I loved feeling like I was not in the dark and could be in the driver seat of finding my ideal home. Alex loved seeing the houses I was interested in to get the best idea of my style. I met with a couple of home owner programs before Alex, but I knew instantly that he was the one for me. He is honest, hand-on, and knowledgeable and he really helped to take the pressure off of us. He knows his job and he knows the business. I never felt forced to make an offer and when I finally found the "one" and ended up making an offer, Alex walked me through every step of the negotiations, even suggesting what I should offer the sellers to secure the offer. Like said before he honest and knowledgeable off this business. If you want to find a great home I would recommend Alex 10 out 10 times. He's the guy.
