Rare opportunity to build your Maui dream estate or develop creative housing solutions on one of Makena's last undeveloped, multigenerational, spacious, family-owned lots. Tucked between white sand Maluaka Beach and historic Makena Landing, this .653-acre property is a short stroll away from some of Maui's best snorkeling, diving, kayaking, paddleboarding, boogie boarding, fishing, and sunset viewing. Steamships from around the globe used to visit this sheltered, South Maui port to stock up on fresh produce, meat, and supplies that were brought down on horseback from 'Ulupalakua Ranch. Two centuries later, it's now a bustling watersports hub full of snorkelers and paddlers who flock to this area to explore the calm, clear waters. Across the street from this scenic parcel you can still get a feel for that bygone era at historic Keawala'i Church, which was built in 1832 and is committed to continuing the Hawaiian language and the area's cultural heritage. More recently, this area has seen many nearby improvements by Discovery Land Company, an international developer of luxury, low-density, membership communities that sits adjacent to the property. R2 zoning allows for 7,500 sq. foot lots, each allowing for multiple dwellings. There are no CC&Rs and no HOA. 3/4" Water meter has been installed with other utilities located at the street.
