A walking community, Thomas Street is made up of older homes built for a neighborhood feel within walking distance of downtown Caribou. This offers you walks to stores, theater, schools, Caribou walking path, dog park, and Thursday's on Sweden Street, a bit of musical & eatery fun in the summers! Updated and renovated, you can close on Friday, move in over the weekend & be grilling by Sunday! The first floor has many living spaces: The working kitchen offers lots of storage, multiple work centers, all of the appliances including a double oven and now a dishwasher (there never was one!). The granite counter even includes a sweet breakfast bar that overlooks the private backyard - watch your plants in the raised beds grow! From the kitchen, you can take your iced tea out onto the sunporch (now sporting 6 new windows) or you can take your meal right into the dining room with new flooring. There is a wonderful den/home office, with gleaming hardwood floors and built-in shelves/cabinets. There is also (yes, can you believe this?!) a huge living room. It is bright with natural light streaming thru the many windows and the hardwood floors in here are warm and beautiful too. The foyer offers a decorative, frosted front door (off a private front porch), new flooring, a hall closet, a stairway with new carpet installed as a safety measure, and a beautiful, old-style banister. Upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms, a comfortably-sized hallway, a 2nd full bath, and a 4th room. The previous owner used it as a library, the current owner as a walk-in closet - you decide, maybe a nursery! There is a pull-down attic which offers plenty of storage. The propane furnace is brand new, top-of-the-line Buderus. A 2-car garage w/overhead walkup storage, large private yard, and producing berry bushes, and so much more - don't miss this!
