If These Walls Could Talk...Welcome to a remarkable piece of Bethel's history. Built in 1760, this enchanting antique Colonial is far more than a home, it's a living story. Once the original homestead of the Dibble family, one of Bethel's earliest settlers, the property carries the legacy of generations past. Years later, this storied home became the residence of Mort Lewis, iconic music manager to legends such as Simon & Garfunkel, Nat King Cole & Duke Ellington. Within these walls echoes of creative genius filled the air & platinum records were showcased. Set on 1.08 acres, the home offers 3,751 square feet of beautifully preserved and updated living space, with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. You'll find 5 original fireplaces, wide plank floors, & period details that celebrate the home's 18th-century roots. Yet, thoughtful updates bring modern ease to historic charm. At the anchor of the home lies a newly added gourmet kitchen, designed with both form and function. Bright, spacious, and ideal for entertaining. Step outside and you'll discover magic. A newly restored 1950s in-ground pool, lush landscaped gardens, a two-car detached garage/barn, and a separate outbuilding, formerly the original icehouse, is ready for your imagination. Located just 60 miles from NYC and 50 miles from Hartford, 137 Rockwell Road is a rare find that seamlessly blends heritage, creativity, and comfort. This property invites you to step into the story, and start your own. Welcome home.
