My wife and I just closed on our first home, and got our mortgage through Neil and his team. We were beyond impressed with Community First Mortgage, and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a mortgage broker. Neil walked us through every step of the process and was incredibly responsive. As first-time homebuyers, there were lots of things we didn't understand and Neil took the time to explain things clearly. We felt confident we were getting the best rates, and had the best team working hard for us. For reference - it took us FOUR days to get our loan "cleared to close" from the day our offer was accepted. We had a 14-day escrow period, and our loan was ready to close well in advance. That was an incredible feat by the Community First Mortgage team, and took a ton of pressure off of us with such an aggressive escrow timeline. Lastly, Neil also recommended our real estate agent, who was another incredible addition to our team. The folks at Community First Mortgage have a five star rating for a reason, we could not have been happier with the service we received and look forward to working with them next time we are in need of mortgage brokerage services.

Buying a home for the first time was such an overwhelming experience. But we were always able to rely on Neil and the Community First Mortgage team through the process. Neil was an absolute professional who took the time to clearly explain every nuance and answer all our questions. Unlike other companies that we reached out to for quotes, there was no nonsense and Neil got us the best pricing that was available. When I started looking for a home I was in contact with a number of lenders, including Neil. He was always very straight-forward with me, gave me the current rates whenever I asked, and answered any questions that I had - as a first-time home buyer, I had a lot! Despite this, I initially went with another lender because I knew from referrals that lender could close in 2-3 weeks and I thought it would make me more competitive in this crazy market. It was a mistake, and one that I'm thankful Neil helped me to correct. At the last minute, about two weeks before the close date, I realized that the lender I chose would not be able to offer me the rates promised or rates that were even competitive. Further, he encouraged me to not to lock in a rate early on and rates just kept rising. I started to panic and called Neil to see what he could do. He was able to offer me a much better rate and was in constant communication with my realtor team and the listing agent to assure them that switching lenders would not cause any issues and that we would close on time. And we did. Actually, we ended up closing two days early! He made the process a smooth one and saved me quite a bit of money. Had I chosen him in the beginning I would have saved even more money and avoided a lot of stress, but I'm so happy with the outcome and will use him for any refinances in the future. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a lender.
