Wish I had worked with bank of America! WestPenn gave me a worse interest rate by almost a percent but it was too late, by the time someone had convinced me they would do a "great" job. Wasn't impressed. Then they sold my loan to some 3rd party company in BFE... which has terrible software for the user interface, and site has been down. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Sure they are local, wish supporting them was worth it. I feel cheated honestly. But hey it's only 30 years After I'm done paying I'll tell yinz what, I'll remove this review.

The Officer and the Processor hardly communicate with us. They ask for things they told us we didn't need, or repeatedly ask for things we don't have. They ask us for things they already have. As if they're not listening to us. Simone asked me to fill something out, and refuses to send it to me. She refused to call me more than once or even leave a message. Their phones are down and she's refusing to give us a number to reach her on.

The only reason this place is getting a second star is because they sold my mortgage and I'll never have to deal with them again. I called them at the recommendation of our realtor and painted a very clear and concise financial picture and stated what we wanted to do. I was told "No problem, that's easy". As soon as the loan hit underwriting everything changed. It was constant unforeseen hurdles that I did not have to go through with my last mortgage company. Once they have you roped in you get handed off to some intern (in my case her name was Irda Dao), who clearly does not read a single thing you send her because she asks for documents over and over again that you have already sent. Half of the time my carbon copy e-mails had someone elses name in it. For two people with great credit and secure jobs the process to close this loan was far more painful than it needed to be. Their affiliate company "Everest Settlement" is also an unorganized joke. I wouldn't recommend either of them.

I recently closed on a property after working with Ryan Amrhein and had a great experience with Ryan/West Penn! Ryan was very attentive and readily available to make the entire process as smooth/painless as possible. Some unforseen last minute closing issues came up with the seller and Ryan/Team were able to get things handled as quickly as possible leading to a successfull closing.

I applied for a mortgage with this company and I've received over 90 spam calls in the 4 days since. They are obviously more interested in sharing your information than lending you money. I won't be using any company that operates like this. Don't trust them!
