Simi Valley is one of Southern California's best-kept secrets. This charming community offers the perfect balance of small-town living with convenient access to everything Southern California has to offer. Located on the west end of the city, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is one of Simi Valley's most iconic landmarks, while the east end provides easy access to Los Angeles. Residents enjoy a relatively low crime rate, highly regarded schools, abundant shopping, excellent restaurants, and plenty of entertainment options. One of Simi Valley's greatest advantages is its value. Homebuyers often find they can purchase more home here than in neighboring Thousand Oaks or Westlake Village, making it an attractive choice for families, professionals, and retirees alike. Education is another highlight. Nearby Moorpark College is consistently recognized as one of the nation's top community colleges and is especially well known for its exceptional Exotic Animal Training and Management (zoology) program. California Lutheran University is just 15 to 20 minutes away, and California State University, Northridge is only a short drive to the east, providing excellent higher education opportunities close to home. Simi Valley's central location makes it easy to enjoy all that Southern California has to offer. Downtown Los Angeles is approximately 40 minutes away, beautiful beaches can be reached in about 40 minutes, and Santa Barbara is just a scenic hour-and-a-half drive north. For commuters and travelers, transportation is another advantage. The Metrolink station in Simi Valley offers convenient rail service, making it easy to travel to destinations throughout Southern California, including connections for day trips to Santa Barbara or San Diego. With its welcoming neighborhoods, beautiful surrounding hills, excellent schools, convenient location, and exceptional value, it's easy to see why so many people are proud to call Simi Valley home.

Simi Valley is connected to the nearby San Fernando Valley by the Santa Susana Pass in the extreme east of Simi Valley. When choosing a new place to live, the cost of living is a significant consideration. The cost of living in Simi Valley is higher than the national average and most cities in the state. While some areas can be higher than others on a state and federal level for many reasons, the overall average of housing costs, utilities, grocery items, transportation, health care, and miscellaneous goods and services tends to be more expensive in Simi Valley. Close to Burbank airport too which is always a plus!
