Ocala is a wonderful place to call home with a wide range of lifestyles from equestrians, golfers, boaters, aviators and so many more. Whether you prefer to live in a historic downtown setting or on a large piece of land away from the hustle and bustle - you can find both in Ocala. From a location point of view, Ocala is in North Central Florida which means you are about an hour drive from Orlando, home of world class theme parks like Disney, Universal and Sea World. Interested in a beach day? Ocala is equidistant from the East and West coast beaches. Many people appreciate Ocala's location when it comes to hurricane season. Being away from the coast, opposed to other cities, the storm bands are typically much weaker by the time they get to Ocala. If you are looking for a livable city that offers something for everyone, check out Ocala, you might just find your forever home!
