He mentioned that I'm spending my husband's money (my husband replied that it's our money). He told me he didn't think I could handle the stress of being a general contractor for our remodel. His interactions with my husband were fine, but not with me (a female).He also lied to us. Throughout the process, he told us he had lists of contractors we could potentially work with to remodel an old kitchen or bathroom, he told us he'd share his contacts with us. But when the time came, he was strangely silent, and said his contacts were busy. This was odd because my husband and I are respectful, easy, nondemanding, nondifficult people. He finally shared the info with us after my husband confronted him about this odd behavior. This left a bitter taste with us and we never used the contacts.Overall, if we were to buy again or sell, we'd work with Zen's team but ask for another agent. The star ratings above don't capture respectfulness, and authentic and fair interactions.

Work Ethic : Zen and his team are true professionals and very thorough, punctual and effective. I knew his office was busy and I wondered if he'd have too much to prioritize the sale of my house. But from the beginning he proved that I didn't have to worry about that at all. The entire team was so punctual and on top of it. As an example, as soon as I put my info down, he showed up at my door to inform me about what he had to bring to the table. 2. Knowledgeable & Informative: One key aspect I was looking for was experience and knowledge base of what to do in different circumstances. He did not simply expect me to trust him, he talked me through each options, "if and then" -situations so that I was well informed. This is of such high value in an agent. There are lots of variables and you want someone who's been through each trail. 3. Communication: With his support team, Vanessa and Mindy, were super polite, helpful and on top of things. If there was an important document, they would email, text and give me friendly reminders. If I needed a reference or contact, it would be almost an immediate response. 4. Connections : Another key aspect I was looking for was connections to affordable and reliable contacts to everything I need to do on the house. I needed to do so many upgrades and didn't have time to quote out multiple bids for each element. Zen saved me huge chunks of times by coordinating bids or giving me trust worthy references. The people I met through Zen were all a blessing to work with. 5. Respect and the Personal touch: Some agents can bombard you with info - Zen hit a great balance of providing me the info I needed without being pushy and aggressive. I'm a young man without the same level of experience, but he treated me with a lot of undue respect. I also felt a genuine desire to care for my family. 6. Results : The proof is in the pudding. Clearly the market was super hot, but even then, the results completely out did our expectations. We closed on terms favorable for us with tons of money saved outside of the purchase price. Zen was the lead in selling our home, and once he negotiated and secured a 100% cash offer, Scott Woodburn from the Z-Team swiftly took the baton to help us find a home! The goal was for my family to only move once, and Scott made it his mission to accomplish this. Even before we began looking for homes, the Z-Team put us in contact with the Ryan Grant Team to get our pre-approval in place. We provided Scott a list of the things we wanted and did not want in a home. We saw approximately five homes when we decided to put in an offer on the home we immediately fell in love with. Once we were resolute in our decision to pursue the home, Scott immediately engaged our contact at Ryan Grant team to put in an offer. In the current climate, we saw buyers entering bidding wars to purchase a home above asking price. With this home being at the very top of our range, we were absolutely nervous.
