ZillowVERIFIED We were first-time home buyers and didn't grow up local, so we didn't know the neighborhoods all that well. Our buyer agent, Todd, took us to showings, advised us on important things to consider with each home, and helped us narrow down our search parameters. On our first showing-filled Saturday, the very last house blew the rest away and the price was right. Since this was the very beginning of our house hunting process, we hadn't even gotten pre-approved for a loan yet (see Ben Hoffman). We got our offer in by the skin of our teeth and won out!
