He went out of his way to make sure that the properties we were interested were not only a good value and good investment for us but that they were suited perfectly to our needs. He has what I can only describe as Home Buying Spidey Sense. His connection to the process and his investment in the results for us was deep. When we would start to get serious about a house his Spidey Sense would start tingling, and he'd dive into all the good - use of space, modifications, our dreams for the home - and the bad - pitfalls, moneytraps, poor quality craftsmanship.A Tim saw it all, and I'm sure we wouldn't have ended up with as great of a home as we did if we were working with someone else. Tim was easy to work with amidst the stresses of buying a home. He is an excellent communicator and a natural dealmaker. We were first time buyers. Tim made us feel comfortable, confident, and informed. There is so much information and so many steps and Tim was there with us every step of the way. There were a lot of red flags and potential bad deals out there, too. With Tim we felt well insulated from the insanity. Tim and stood up for us to the selling agent and made sure our interests were represented. He grew up in New Jersey and will fight for you. Real estate is his passion, and Tim is a master communicator and dealmaker. He knows this process like the back of his hand. I couldn't recommend him more thoroughly. Pick this guy!

ZillowVERIFIED Tim is super knowledgeable he is also friendly and easy to work with. He recommended a great home inspector who provided excellent detail. The mortgage and title company were easy to work with as well. We did an initial search and two offers in 2019. They did not work out and we took a break. Then COVID came, and we sat out another 8 months. Called Tim back in October 2020 and said we are ready, we found a house made an offer in a week. Tims supportiveness never flagged. The best agent weve ever worked with having bought 4 houses.

Thank goodness I quickly switched to Tim who came recommended from a friend. He was light years better, far more enthusiastic, and anything he wasn't sure about he figured out straight away, and despite it all taking place during a pandemic, Tim was always there, in person, something I did not experience in the pervious agent. He is fantastic at working with you to come up with a strategy that will get your house sold quickly at a price that works with your budget. He has great partnerships with vendors who are able to jump in on short notice to put the finishing touches on your house before it goes on the market, or to do the repairs required to fulfill your contractual requirements during a sale. Hes honest and straightforward and will tell you exactly what he thinks based on his expertise. When I worked with Tim, my house sold for over $40k more than I thought I would get for it and I could not have been happier. This man will do whatever it takes for you! Some agents do the bare minimum work required, but not Tim! I was so impressed with his drive and motivation. I highly recommend him!

ZillowVERIFIED Bottom line - Tim sold my home in one weekend for more than I expected to get for it, all just as the pandemic set in! He's also a genuinely good person - for real. He patiently walked me through all the large and small decisions, what to repair and what to leave alone. He vetted and set up good contractors, photographers etc as well as rolling up his own sleeves to help! When the pandemic arrived, he didn't miss a beat and adjusted to all the new considerations almost miraculously. I couldn't be happier and I can't recommend him enough!

ZillowVERIFIED Its hard to decide where to start when discussing how great it was to work with Tim! We cant imagine going through the process without him on our team. Before we started to visit listings on the market, he took the time to meet with us and learn about our work schedules, budget, and ideas. We were blown away at how motivated he was to help us find our dream home. At the same time he was able to communicate what was and wasnt possible with our budget, which allowed us to dream without being unrealistic. Tim was immediately able to decipher which homes we may or may not be interested in. We really appreciated how he was able to notify us of listings wed want to see without showing us everything in our budget. It was also great that he was able to work around our unorthodox work schedules. His dedication and drive allowed us to go about our day without stressing and constantly looking at listings in our free time. If Tim encountered something he wasnt sure of, he notified us, and immediately got back to us with the correct response. ZillowVERIFIED My husband and I worked with Tim in early 2018 to buy our first home. From the very first meeting with Tim, we knew we were in the right hands. He spent extensive time with us getting to know what we were looking for and what we werent looking for. We started the process with little knowledge of how homebuying works coupled with a lot of fear of the competitive Portland market. Tim made sure we felt comfortable with every step we were taking and equipped us with the knowledge we needed to make informed decisions. He scouted a ton of houses for us and every time had a really good feel for what we would and wouldnt like. He has a really good eye for details, and was often able to point out things about homes that we would have completely missed until it was too late. He spent numerous evenings and weekends touring us around town, often getting us in to see houses the day they went on the marketaEUR| before the hordes of other home shoppers came by. Once we found the home that we knew wed love, Tim was able to really work his magic. We werent the highest bidder, and we didnt have the biggest down payment. The house we wanted had about 10 bidders within hours of listing. Nevertheless, Tim went to bat for us and sold us as perfect buyers for the house that is now our home. He worked tirelessly through every situation that sprang up - title issues, inspection and appraisal issues, letting us be fussy about closing date, working with our bank, and renegotiating closing costs after the inspection to get us the very best deal. We never doubted that Tim was going to put our needs and wants ahead of everything else, and that he could do so without jeopardizing the deal. We are now happily living in a home that we love and we cant recommend Tim Marino enough!

He knows Portland like the back of his hand and was invaluable to me in this process. He seems to know something about every neighborhood. I cant tell you how many homes we looked at and through it all Tim was informative, knowledgable and had a great sense of humor. He has a great eye for detail and his family background in construction was really helpful since we were looking at older homes. He never hesitated to point out something that might be an issue. When he finally found my home he made negotiation and closing a breeze. He was great about staying in touch and and answering all my questions (at all hours of the night- sorry Tim!). There are so many nuances of home buying I was unfamiliar with and I'm so glad I had Tim to guide me through it all.
