Fast forward to the present when it is time to move again, we knew Susie would represent our home well. After a few tips on staging and touch up, she booked the photographer. My wife and I had a somewhat particular situation when we were looking for homes. My wife was roughly 4 months pregnant when we started our housing search, and we were coming from out of state (Michigan). We really wanted to move directly into a home after arriving in Virginia and avoid signing a short term lease, and then trying to move after the baby was born. Susie was very helpful in our search and was very flexible with us as far as making herself available last minute to show us houses. We made last minute decisions twice to drive out to Virginia when a house we were interested in hit the market and Susie was able to devote a day to showing us all of the new houses in the area both times. Once we went under contract Susie really helped us as far as being available and overseeing all of our inspections and sending all of the relevant paperwork/pictures to us (since we were not able to be present and talk to the inspectors ourselves). Susie really took care of us and pointed out areas of concerns in the inspections and helped us formulate a plan going forward. I know I'm droning on at this point, but another great outcome with using Susie was negotiating the house of the purchase. We were able to purchase a home for 3% under appraisal (appraisal not sale price), and get enough in closing costs (3%) that we paid nothing in closing plus had enough closing money left over to buy a half point toward our interest rate. I cannot recommend Susie highly enough and my wife and I look forward to using her services in the future. If you are looking for a realtor give her a call you won't regret it.
