When it became time to sell that home earlier this year, there was no one else we even considered helping us with that process. In both the buying and selling process, Karen was everything we could have hoped for. She was always available to answer all of our questions and was clear and helpful every step of the way. The Santa Barbara market can move very fast so the extra help and advice in preparing the house for sale can make all the difference. Karen guided us with the most important things we had to do (for instance repairs and staging, all of which allowed us to get a lot of interest very quickly). Karen made the sale process with all the paperwork, smooth and easy and continually updated us as needed. When we were buying our first home, she helped to show us everything available in our price range and even properties that hadnt yet come on the market, which is one of the homes we eventually bought. If she hadnt shown us that home before it went to market, we probably would not have been able to buy it. When we sold our home 14 years later, it was on the market for less than a week before we received 3 offers, one of which we accepted and our home closed shortly thereafter. ZillowVERIFIED Like another reviewer I had the challenge of assisting my sister transition from her condo in SB where she lived for 35 yrs. ,to where I live in St Paul over the Spring-Fall of 2017 . Selecting a good realtor was one of the first things on my list of things to do . I did a comprehensive realator search and inquiry on line and Karen rose to the top of the list based on all of the factors that were important to me. We visited with her & signed a listing agreement . Our goals were clearly communicated to Karen, a fair price that was competitive and would sell the property ; an allowance for reasonable cosmetic improvements that would be needed in a home that someone has lived in for 35 years , no surprises or crisis moments throughout the process , a smooth and efficient sale and closing , and good communication . She gets a 10 on all of these factors and then some. She helped us set , and the condo sold for, a price we were very satisfied with that was fair to both seller and buyer , she anticipated problems and dealt with them before they became distractions , cosmetic upgrading was done by competent contractors at reasonable cost, reliably and promptly , and the property sold about 10 days after going public. Closing was seamless and efficient . Most important to me ,being 2000 miles away , she always responded to my email ,text, or verbal inquiries & questions in a matter of minutes/ hours, I was never kept waiting . Less than 60 days after going public ,the new owner was in the condo and the sale proceeds were delivered to my sister. Can't ask for or expect better service that we received from Ms. Spechler.

I asked her to sell our condo because she came prepared with information on the her sales history with other properties, and other units in our complex and knew what it took to get our condo well marketed and guided us through our listing preparation.
