Absolutely unacceptable experience with both this realtor and the management company. My fiancA(C) and I attempted to lease a property through Sherry, and from the very beginning the process was disorganized and unprofessional. Our realtor had to make multiple attempts just to schedule an initial showing. When we finally arrived, we were met by the current tenantsaEUR"who had not been notified at allaEUR"making it impossible to view the home. After several more weeks of trying to reschedule, we decided to move forward and submit an application without a proper tour because this was one of the only homes that met our familys needs in a limited market. Our application was approved, and we were accepted. Prior to signing the lease, we requested a full walkthroughaEUR"and what we found was extremely concerning. The home was in significant disrepair, including clear water damage with possible mold, a deteriorating fence, and a structurally unsafe back deck. Our realtor made repeated attemptsaEUR"via calls, emails, and textsaEUR"to confirm that these serious issues would be addressed prior to move-in. Responses, if they came at all, took days and lacked clarity. Despite this, we were still willing to proceed with signing the lease if we received reasonable assurances that these safety concerns and inaccuracies in the lease documents would be corrected. We were given a May 1 deadline to sign the lease and submit the first months rent and security deposit, yet our outstanding questions remained unanswered. When Sherry did respond, her communication was often unclear and difficult to interpret. Then, without any notice or communication, the lease was abruptly voided just two weeks before our anticipated move-in date. We were told it was due to aEURoetoo many concessions,aEUR? when in reality we were simply asking that unsafe conditions be repaired and incorrect lease terms be fixed. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. The lack of communication, disregard for tenant safety, and last-minute cancellation left us in a very difficult position. I strongly recommend avoiding this realtor and management company altogether.
