My husband and I made a quick trip to Pittsburg to specifically look at houses. I contacted Shelly about a week before our trip and told her when we would be able to view houses and our criteria. She had 8 houses with our most of our criteria with country/land and location being the most important to us that she showed to us. The house we eventually bought, already had an accepted offer on it with a contingency. We knew our house that we were moving from would sell quickly and with Shelly's help we were able to get the previous bidders to rescind their offer and the sellers to accept ours. The fact that our family was frowning we saw the need to move up to a larger place we had been renting a two bedroom town home, we had gone to a couple open houses and weren't very impressed with the listing agents, then we went to a home that Shelly was hosting. She immediately asked questions that took into account who we were, where our lives were at, what our needs were etc. We took her card and about a week later she called to follow up and we ended up having her find us a list of homes based on our parameters, she did great on that list and she ended up showing us the house that we met her at. That's when she helped us out tremendously she was very knoledgable on who to recommend for inspections, and estimates, she was very insightful in helping us get tge home we wanted. I only rated her negotiation skills a 3 because we never really crossed that bridge it was literally our offer then a counter offer and both parties were heading to the same point so we settled and got what we felt was reasonable. We intend to use her in the future as both buyers and sellers. We would recommend Shelly to anyone in the area that is a first time buyer as she takes the time to get to know you and help you through the process. She is very knowledgeable and one of the most personable agents we have met in the area!

ZillowVERIFIED I was emailed today and asked to write a review for my experience with Ms. Hildebrandt. This was the agent that I used for the purchase of my house, I was not referred to her by anyone, I found this agent because her name was on the real estate sign of the house I was interested in. I purchased a very cheap house last year, I called the listing person which was Shelly. She could not meet to show me the house that day because she was busy ( which I understood). So, I went to go drive by the house and the door was unlocked so I went in and looked at it and had my dad go back later that day. I called back to place a cash offer on the house just a few days later. A few days passed after that and I had no response from Shelly, calling her, I left a message and received no reply as to whether the sellers accepted the offer or not. After a week had passed, I went into the main office saying I wanted to switch agents due to no communication plus I wanted to get an offer in on this house before it had sold. I feel like I was not taken seriously due to the price of my house and the fact that she wasn't going to receive very much commission off of it. I think as a business professional that all customers, no matter how much commission you are receiving should receive the same respect and communication regardless of what they are spending. It was a very frustrating home buying experience.
