ZillowVERIFIEDWe thought very highly of Shawn when she was our agent during our initial Chincoteague purchase 6 years ago. Not knowing anyone in the area; we relied solely on these types of reviews to find the best agent for us. This year our family faced a crisis & needed to sell our beloved second home ASAP. Of course, I called Shawn - she was ON IT immediately. We live 2 hours away & were unable to get there to prep the house for sale; we trusted Shawn to manage everything from start to finish. She & her assistant exceeded our expectations...they were an amazing gift to our family. Our prayers were being answered and the daunting task of selling was complete within 14 days because of Shawn's character & expertise. God Bless you Shawn Jennings.

ZillowVERIFIED Shawn is absolutely the best realtor we've ever had! She was our realtor when we bought our house in Greenbackville, VA, and she was our realtor again to sell the same house 4 years later. The process was all smooth in buying and selling the same house. My wife and I were deeply impressed with her kindness, professionalism and most importantly, she always kept us posted in a timely manner. We would not hesitate to recommend her to our family, friends and whoever needs to buy or sell a house. We're highly impressed with her honestly, dedication and commitment to helping her clients. We truly appreciate getting to know her and being able to work with her. We're 100 % satisfied with her experience and knowledge. ZillowVERIFIED Shawn Jennings was our Realtor for the house my wife and I just bought. This was my second time buying a house and I was absolutely satisfied with her services, from beginning to end. Honestly I have seldom seen a realtor with so much professionalism, experience, dedication and willingness despite her busy schedule, to always assist her clients and get the results they expect from her. Not one time did we have any issues while working with Shawn. Even though we were about 200 miles away from her, she always made sure that we didn't have to always drive to our property under construction. She would regularly send us pictures so we could easily see the progress. Communicating with Shawn was easy and fast. She answered all our questions in a timely fashion and we had such a pleasant experience working with her. She constantly and consistently communicated with the builder and achieved the amazing result of our house being finished two months early. Shawn was present at our closing and everything went smoothly. We're aware that the process of buying a house can be a daunting experience but with Shawn's professionalism and knowledge we were extremely lucky to have her. Now we're enjoying our new house in a nice community and no issues at all. In view of all of the above, I would highly recommend Shawn Jennings, without reservations, to anyone wanting to buy or sell a house as I'm absolutely sure she'll do the same with you. From scheduling all inspections, hiring a cleaning crew, and staging my home beautifully to help it sell, I was blown away with Shawns drive for success. She is by far the hardest working and honest realtor/person I have ever had the pleasure to represent me. I wish there was an option for a 10 star review because I would try to pick 11aEUR|

ZillowVERIFIED We have worked with Shawn twice. She helped us when we purchased our home in 2012 and again for our sale in 2021. On both occasions situations have arisen beyond anyone's control. She worked very hard and with great diligence to rectify the situations with either alternative actions or solutions. She is extremely knowledgeable regarding her profession, and if she doesn't know the answer will find it quickly. She is a lovely lady to work with and have the pleasure of knowing. We will miss her when we move away from Chincoteague.

ZillowVERIFIED My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with Shawn over the past year as she assisted us with finding the perfect Eastern Shore home for us. She did an absolutely fabulous job, we couldn't have asked for anything more from her. She was patient with us and our extended family along with our changing needs. She was always available to show us any home we were interested in seeing. She was exceptionally responsive to questions and requests. She gave fantastic guidance regarding the areas and home that might interest us. She listened to our needs and worked with us to find homes that met those needs. She moved fast when we were ready to make an offer and she got the deal done for us helping us to keep our interests in mind. We were so excited to close last week on a fantastic home for us in Saxis, VA and spent this past weekend there. We absolutely love it and are so happy to have the summer to spend there this year. Shawn is phenomenal and we would recommend her to everyone looking for a new place to call home! We are planning to make additional purchases in the area and so will definitely be looking to Shawn to help us again in the future. Thank you so much Shawn for such a great easy experience!

ZillowVERIFIED During COVID our family was itching to escape the city and find a property we could use and also rent out. We met with Shawn and talked about all of the things we really wanted/needed and she delivered 110%! Everything was done remotely (she checked out all of the properties for us since everything listed was gone within 1-2 days! On a couple of occasions she talked me out of putting offers on some properties because they didnt have what we had told her we really wanted (a bit of land!). I'm so happy she steered us in the right direction. Trust her judgement, she listened to exactly what we wanted and kept us focused to see it through! We love our Piney Island cottage and are so grateful to Shawn for her expertise and assistance. I'm confident we would not have ended up with this property without her help! It has certainly been a silver lining during an otherwise extremely difficult year. Thank you Shawn!

ZillowVERIFIED Our family has been coming to this beautiful island for 20 years, Our primary residence is about 170 miles from Chincoteague, so being on-site during the building process wasnt feasible. We needed someone we could trust that not only has a lot of experience, but also knows all the best local people to work with. I cant recommend her enough, not only based on her professionalism, but on all the help she was able to provide in connecting us with insurance providers, additional contractors, etc. Thank you Shawn! You are a credit to your profession. Ill be in touch again for my next property on the island!

ZillowVERIFIED Let me start by saying Shawn is the BEST! I give her 5 stars, would give her seven if I could. I do however give Zillow 1 star. I left a poor review initially NOT because of Ms. Jennings but because of a poor user experience offered by Zillow when connecting folks to agents. It leaves something to be desired. Now back to goods. Ms. Jennings is not only knowledgeable, she's sharp, and so kind. She embodies everything you could want in an agent. I recommend you call her now, because to get the best, you have to work with the best, and Ms. Jennings is the best.

ZillowVERIFIED Shawn was an awesome agent who was always looking out for our best interest. In a very difficult market with low inventory, she found us exactly what we were looking for, even though initially the price was just too high; she saved us about 5% on the seller's asking price, even though the demand in the market was so high. Additionally, she found ways to solve various issues with what turned out to be a very difficult seller; they initially wanted to sell the home as-is, but she worked with the other agent to get us the repairs we asked for. She was also able to streamline and expedite the settlement.

If there was an obstacle or delay - she handled it with ease. NO BIG DEAL for SHAWN. Since she lives and works in Chincoteague, she has endless local connections. It truly seemed she knew everyone. We fell in love with Chincoteague years ago because of it's nostalgia, worry free, slow pace; reminiscent of old town America. ZillowVERIFIED Shawn is an awesome Buyer's Agent who knows every inch of the area. We interviewed her in August, and she helped us thoroughly search for properties in September and October, and we bought a terrific and affordable waterfront home in November. She's really intuitive, super-positive, AND she kept us calm while we were dealing with our bank (our loan people made every possible filing error, and that drove us craaaaazeeee). The most important part is that she made sure we understood all of our options to make an informed, smart choice. We LOVE our new island hide-away!

ZillowVERIFIED I met Shawn on a trip to Chincoteague Island last April, my second visit in a year. The idea of living there, some time, was nudging at my brain, so when I drove into town, I sought the Coldwell Banker office, having been referred by my son-in-law, a CB agent in NV. Shawn was on the floor; she took a lot of time listening to me and gave me lots to think about. Astutely, she opined that I might like a newer-built home than the quaint little houses in my original price range, due to my primary residence in NV preventing many visits to work on a house, as much fun as that seemed to me, and the types of homes I had had. In June, I started peeking at properties online; the first one to catch my eye was a pending sale - Shawn's buyer. I took it as a sign to reach back to her. From that point, we actively communicated about many properties. She always took time for me, in spite of being 3 hours apart. Ultimately, in September, although I yearned to turn an older home into an HGTV success story, I picked a property that did not require renovation. Most agents would feel they were done after 3 months of hand-holding, but not Shawn. She referred me to other business associates I would need for my loan, insurance, property management, home improvements, gave me status on the house through two hurricanes and very importantly, made sure I was not alone in this process. She was never pushy or impatient, and I was needy. Shawn is a good person who manages to be a sharp businesswoman with a very caring heart. If I am lucky, I will have the chance to do business with her again; if not, I still plan to say "Hi Girl" to her when I am on the island.
