ZillowVERIFIED From our first meeting a few things were clear about Shari and Steve-they know the area and market incredibly well, they tell the truth and they get things done, and done well. They really listened to us about what we wanted, where we wanted to be and were supportive but also advocates and gave us sound advice-that was huge!! Every single step of the process they were there. They must be the hardest working people in the business! We never felt that there was a question we didnt have answered, a concern we couldnt address -literally night and day. Though we did not know them before they became agents -to buy and sell-we genuinely felt they had our best interest at heart, and I dont think thats a common sentiment for salespeople. They got us the house we wanted, and turned and sold our home in record time. Trying to buy and sell simultaneously is not easy, especially with small kids-Shari and Steve did everything possible to make it easier for us-including walking the kids outside so we could really look at properties!! It was clear they took COVID precautions seriously while showing our home, and bringing us to others. On top of that, I honestly felt Shari really fought for us every step of the way-whether it was the house price, working through the inspection or negotiating. Despite her very sweet personality, its also clear that shes a shrewd businesswoman. We recommend the McStay wholeheartedly...you want them in your corner!

It all began at the dollar tree 2 years ago when Shari stopped me to say how cute our daughter was. We began talking and connected immediately. Within a span of one year, Shari and Steven sold our home in Danvers and my 89 yr old fathers home in Melrose. Shari and Steven guided us to get the best price for our home. They believed in the value, beauty, and location of house and were able to market it accordingly. After having it on the market ourselves for several weeks unsuccessfully, Shari and Steven were able to sell it through their national newtworking in just 3 weeks.My fathers home in Melrose sold in 24 hours. The house was priced right and as a result, a bidding war brought $75,000 over price. Shari and Steven were supportive and protective of my dad, listened to his questions and needs and were incredibly respectful throughout the entire process. Once the houses were under agreement, Shari and Steven continue to work very hard on their clients behalf. There is much to be done during the final weeks before closing and they continued to work just as hard during this time, often doing errands and making phone calls and tappaing their network for support services on behalf of their clients. An example is their connection with an amazing junk man and Sharis connection with a local realtor that yielded a landscaper to maintain my fathers property during this time. Not only is this couple knowledgeable, they are compassionate and understanding of their clientss personal situation. I cannot say enough about Shari and Steven McStay. I believe that you cannot possible find a more qualified realtor in the area. I give them 5 stars in all categories.

My husband and I used her as both our selling and buying agent and throughout the entire (lengthy) process she was never more than a text away. In 2014, she helped my husband and me find a home that fit our extremely limited budgetaEUR"quite an undertaking, considering the housing market north of Boston! Shari not only found us a condo in one of Salem's best neighborhoods but also helped us navigate the tricky process of buying a short sale property.Over the two and a half years we lived at the condo, Shari remained an incredibly helpful resource whenever we needed recommendations for local plumbers, junk removal companies, and more. When my husband and I decided to move out of state to be closer to family in 2016, there was no question about who we'd choose as our agent. Shari helped us prepare to put our home on the market and guided us through the selling process, and we're ultimately very happy with the price we got for the property! Shari was a delight to work with as both a buyers' and a sellers' agent. In addition to being a really cool person, she's knowledgable about the area, super quick to respond to questions or requests, and remarkably persistent and committed to getting things done. If you're buying a home in her area of Massachusetts, you can't go wrong with Shari. I'm honestly really bummed that I won't be able to work with her again!
