ZillowVERIFIED We closed last Monday!!! Shanon was one of three realtors we interviewed back in July. Her presentation was on an iPad and Shanon was extremely thorough describing her process and expectations on both sides. What really impressed us was her description of the staging process and then the picture/video/drone photography. We hired Shanon in July even though we were not going to list until the fall so we could capture our yard in full summer color with outdoor furniture displayed. We then listed in the private market (realtors only) so we could get some feedback on pricing and we still had a few things we wanted to do before opening it up to the MLS. We listed on a Friday and got a call from a realtor saying their client was interested and could they see it that day? We had an offer from them for list price that evening! Two other couples looked at our home on Sunday and one of them made an offer as well. We accepted one of the offers and pushed our closing date out until 12/18/23 and we closed today! Shanon, her stager and attorney were very communicative throughout all the walk throughs and negotiations (radon mitigation and new roof needed). She also recommended to evaluate the pros and cons of doing some renovations and possibly working with a renovation company. I really did not know where to start, she suggested a great mortgage company to just find out what my preapproval was. I did that and immediately we went to go look at three homes. ZillowVERIFIED My fiancA(C) were first time home buyers looking to move from the city out to the suburbs. We luckily stumbled upon Shanon via a listing we wanted to check out. We were extremely lucky in doing so. Shanon has excellent knowledge of the area we were searching in (Downers Grove, Lisle, Lombard, Willowbrook, Hinsdale, and surrounding areas). She's local to the area so often she would say something like... "well let me call some of my friends to find that out for you" or "I have a few folks that I can provide introductions to so you can get a good estimate for that", which we found very helpful as we're new to the area. On many occasions, we'd see a home pop up on Zillow in the morning, and we'd have a showing that afternoon thanks to Shanon. What we liked most about Shanon is her patience. After a few showings and discussions, she really had a good sense of what we were looking for and was patient enough to show us stuff that she even knew wasn't going to be a fit. She never pressured or was impatient with us, which is what we needed in such a crazy home buying environment where we weren't willing to get into a bidding war. Ultimately when we found "The One", Shanon was able to give us a "realistic" expectation of value on the property, which enabled us to move quickly. I'd recommend Shanon to any home buyer.
