What set Tom apart is that he's a former home inspector, so when he walked the house with us he explained what he was seeing in real time. After having our offer accepted, closing moved quickly, but the process was smooth because of Tom's coordination. Last-minute changes (an earlier closing date, a repair the sellers had to sort out before close) never turned into a fire drill. Would work with him again in a heartbeat.

Review We are from the Midwest trying to buy our vacation/retirement home from a distance. We needed much more than an agent; we needed someone who knows our needs and she personally took on the burden of our decisions (good or bad). Of all the agents that we interviewed, she was the only one that listened. The other agent only saw us as high maintenance because we are from out of town. We met her in person twice: the first time to hire her and the second time at closing. She did everything while we were in Chicago. She did not compromise on the house nor the neighborhood. She negotiated tooth and nail on behalf of 2 elderly clueless people. Yet she was professional and calm in the thick of negotiations. We got the perfect house in an established neighborhood. We are forever indebted to her. We hope we are worthy of her friendship beyond our professional relationship.

Review Sean McConnell is the best. Seriously. In our 2 month + search he was our agent, advocate, therapist, friend and champion! I never bought a house before and knew it was a smart idea to get an agent first but I had NO idea to what extent he would be helping us along every step of the way. Looking for a house, especially now is extremely stressful, but Sean assured us it was going to happen and it was going to be right when it did. He was spot on. At one point we found a house we thought we loved but at the home inspection something just didn't feel right. Intuitive Sean picked it up without me having to say a single word. He said "Let's go look at some other houses right now", even after earnest money had been put down. I knew at that point that he was really looking out for OUR best interests and not his commission. In the end, we DID find our dream house and it worked out because Sean knows this business. We were in competition with 12 other buyers and WE GOT THE HOUSE because Sean and Nicolette put together a BOMB purchase agreement for the seller (not even the highest offer) that highlighted what strong buyers we were. I can't say enough good things about Sean. He was ready willing and able to cater to our whims at a moments notice. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone, especially first time buyers. And one more really important thing I will say, Sean is a totally righteous dude. He's awesome at his job but he also has a solid moral compass and knows that being above board is the best way to navigate through life. This is the kind of person you want to work with. Believe me.
