ZillowVERIFIED I would highly recommend Henry Cobb to anyone looking for a realtor. I researched realtors several months ahead of when I wanted to list my home. Since this was my first home and I had never sold one before, it was very important to me to get the best realtor I could. Based on the vast number of high reviews and what I had heard about the Ron Sawyer Team, I decided to meet with Henry. Prior to our meeting Henry asked permission to do a walk around of the property. We met shortly thereafter where I gave him a tour of the inside of my home. He was very well prepared and answered all of my questions with ease. Henry had many comps and gave me thorough feedback with regards to improvements I could make to help sell quicker and for money, how quickly I should expect to sell, and accurate estimates of what I could expect to make based off of several scenarios. He felt we could be a little aggressive based on my home?s condition and location. We had 2 offers in less than a week and sold for more than the listing price. With the challenges of COVID-19 and moving out of the area, I was apprehensive if everything would turn out okay. Henry made a stressful and difficult transaction very smooth by checking on the property at least once a week and setting up contractors to do repairs since I didn?t have a lot of time to. The contractors he knew were very reasonably priced and performed the work promptly so the closing got done on time. Henry was a consummate professional and did a tremendous job. He was honest, confident, experienced, and gave sound advice. What I really liked was he asked what I thought first and did not force his opinion. In almost every circumstance he was thinking the same thing and on the same page as me. I was also impressed with his attention to detail since I?m very detail oriented myself. I have very high expectations and Henry exceeded them. That is why I would recommend him without hesitation. If you want a good person who cares and will represent you with honesty and integrity, pick Henry!

ZillowVERIFIED We actually started browsing for houses on Zillow somewhat casually knowing we wanted to buy within a few months. One of the properties we were interested on Zillow was a property they were listing. We were early in our search and not sure about an agent just yet but the team reached out after we said wed like to schedule a viewing of the home. Between meeting Henry and his flexible timing with our odd schedules, we knew we needed to work with him. We are thrilled we did! He helped us with our search parameters and took us to various types of houses so we could figure out what we liked. He was so patient, always answered questions and often gave us answers to questions we didnt even know to ask. After having our offer accepted, he was still available to answer any questions (and we had a lot!). It was an amazing experience and we are closing on a dream home! In addition to Henry, the closing staff were super helpful with keeping us on track with documentation and follow up. We would definitely recommend Henry and the Ron Sawyer team!

Each and every property she recommended was in the right ballpark of what I was looking for; but she was able to make snap comparisons to narrow down further when viewing properties based on reactions to the initial properties viewed. Im not an easy brain to pick, but despite giving her very little to work off of she found exactly what I was looking for quicker than I imagined it would take at less than I was looking to spend. Talk about win win win! Hampton Roads has a ton of agents who can close a typical deal; however it takes someone like Lindsay to show clarity, honesty, integrity, and expertise when things pop up. There was an atypical occurrence not caused by our side in the close process and she was with me every step of the way explaining and keeping me open to options available. When you can honestly say you trust your real estate agent theyre no longer your agent, theyre your partner. ZillowVERIFIED I hired the Ron Sawyer team to manage my condo as a rental when I had to move for work. I had trouble with these guys from the start. Their advertising was lazy, relying on the listing to promulgate on its own after putting it up in (Im assuming) MLS, but they wouldnt post an ad anywhere else--despite many requests they never sent me a link to the ad they said they posted elsewhere. I finally posted my own, and generated more leads than their entire campaign. I threatened to fire them. Luckily for them, very soon thereafter another realtor did their work for them....and I had to pay the $105 finders fee. Their monthly statements changed formats almost every time they sent me one, and in general their service is unresponsive. For example, they lost my keys and stuck me with a full lock replacement fee vs just a rekey. They agreed to reimburse me for half, but almost a year later they still havent. They schedule expensive work without notice or choice of contractors, and will not provide a look-ahead at upcoming expenses. One contractor performed subpar work and I had to pay to fix it--a prime contractor is responsible for their subs, but Ron Sawyer & Co. wont take responsibility. During periods of vacancy, they make no effort at all to watch your property. They wont use your cash reserve to maintain utilities or perform any sort of service to assist an out-of-town owner like me actually manage the property. I wound up having a local friend watch the place, and were it not for the sale in the works (using a good realtor), I would have fired Ron Sawyer, hired my friend as a local point of contact for any tenant, and re-marketed my place at a much more competitive price.

Between pointing me in the right direction of a reputable loan officer, making accommodations for showings due to my odd work schedule, suggesting home inspectors to fit my needs, and being in direct contact with the closing company to make sure everything was coming along... I just cant say enough great things about these people! They are truly a team, and in any sort of sales business, it was refreshing! I would and have recommended them to anyone looking to buy or sell their home. You will not come across a better group of knowledgeable or caring individuals that make up the Ron Sawyer Team! ZillowVERIFIED My husband and I went through the rental department of The Ron Sawyer Team real estate office, so we have no experience with them as far as home buying. Everything about trying to rent the house was off. First, it was emphasized that we be prompt and on-time to the showing of the rental property, and the agent showed up 15 minutes late. The house alarm went off when the agent opened the front door and he had to use our cell phone to call the owners (who still lived there) to get the alarm turned off (he forgot his phone). We liked the house, he told us to come by the office to fill out an application, and that evening we went to the office. We brought our checkbook to the office to pay for the application fee. When we got there they told us we had to pay with a money order or cashiers check. The agent who showed us the house failed to mention this. We were told the owners of the house were out of the country, but they would let us know when the owners came back, and they assured us we would most likely be able to move in by the end of the month like we wanted. A couple of weeks went by before the owners supposedly returned from the country, and our proposed move in date came and went. Finally we went in to sign the lease and set a move in date for the end of the month with a contingency that we could move in earlier if the owners moved out early. A week before our move in date we were informed we could not move into the house because the owners, who were trying to buy a house to move into, were not able to buy another house. The fact that the owners were trying to buy a new house to move into was news to us, and had we known this we wouldnt have even tried to sign a lease because of the uncertainty of the situation. My husband and I contacted a real estate agent at Ron Sawyer and explained the situation to us. He was very apologetic and polite. He offered to not only refund our application fee, but also to hand deliver our deposit and application fee refund. From our interactions I would not recommend Ron Sawyers rental services, but from our limited experience with the real estate agent, I would recommend them for real estate purposes.
