While purchasing our home remotely, Robert, Jo Ann, Casey, Max and Corey did an excellent job of understanding our needs and what we were looking for in a perfect vacation home. When we were in OBX, he spent a day showing us properties and using his experience and expert knowledge of the island, the neighborhoods, the homes, the rental companies, and just how it works down there to guide us a home that was perfect for us (not just a great home, we saw many great homes, but one that was perfect for us, for what we wanted) in selecting our a great home and investment. Jo Ann, Casey, Robert, Max and Corey then made the buying process incredibly easy, especially when closing remotely. The team has continued to help us navigate the rental process, home improvement/maintenance projects (Corey in particular has been spectacular on this front) and have even checked in on our home during the rental season to make sure the guests are being well taken care of while we are not there. Candidly, I can not recommend them enough - they are "fantastic"!

I'm an investor from out of state and OBX has aEURoealwaysaEUR? been my favorite destination for a relaxing vacation with awesome surroundings. After looking into a number of vacation destinations to invest in, OBX rose to the top for overall dollar value and rental income. Then it was time to select a Realtor to work with. I reached out to a few and I found Roberts response to be quick and very informative. Robert and Jo Ann live and invest in the Outer Banks and have worked for decades as Realtors on the island. They know the island, and as investors, they gave me practical advice and answered my questions based on their vast experience. During the process I also worked with Max and Casey and found their entire team to be exceptional. Just one example...while reviewing the costs for insurance on the home that I eventually purchased, Robert observed that the costs were very high. Jo Ann and Casey directed me to a company that combined everything into one policy and saved me a substantial amount of money. This type of insight manifested itself over and over during my search. I never felt that he was just trying to sell me a house, but that he was more of a mentor answering my questions and helping me to make the best decision.The search:Robert aEURoelistened" and then asked questions. He learned what I was looking for and then tailored my approach accordingly. We ended up with a list of about 18 homes. I then planned my trip to OBX to visit these properties. Robert arranged his schedule to spend 2 full days during which time we turned that list of 18 homes into just 2. Then began a negotiating process that left me amazed. Robert and Jo Ann have their finger on the real estate pulse in OBX and lets just say I was very pleased with the home I selected and the final negotiated price. Robert also suggested a mortgage broker that pre-qualified me...which helped during the negotiating process. I have nothing but the highest praise for the work he and his team did prior to the exploratory trip, great communication during the search, timely on-going communication, and then most importantly, negotiating the best price and managing the inspection and closing process.I now consider Robert, Jo Ann, Max and Casey my 5 star friends. When part way through the process we decided to look at a "sell by owner" property they stayed with us and were completely supportive. Even though that deal "fell through" it confirmed to us not only what kind of Real Estate agents they are but what kind of people they are. If you have the opportunity to have them help you find your dream house don't look any further. You won't be disappointed. There son Max also stepped in and worked with us and although he is young and at first we were unsure he totally proved himself as a great person and real estate agent.
