ZillowVERIFIEDI think Rich has a very realistic view of the housing market; he chose a price point that would sell but, not 'leave money on the table'. He also has an amazing network of people he knows & works with... and is able to cast a wide net across multiple communities to get the word out about your listing. I would say his communication style is very direct which I like but, also uses excellent discretion in sensitive situations. Lastly, he is very accommodating and flexible, always pitching in and offering to help you get through a tough time selling a home. A true professional!

He is everything you could want in a realtor. Good and timely communication, great insight into the market and most importantly persistent in securing a qualified buyer and negotiating the sale. If you have to choose a realtor I personally can't think of anyone I would recommend better (I've worked with others in the past and he stands head and shoulders above the rest)

Being first time home buyers, we were really nervous about the whole process and had heard many horror stories about real estate agents who are out to make a commission rather than helping the buyer ( or seller). Naturally, we talked to many different agents before settling on Rich Murphy and we can happily say that it was the right decision. Rich is a true gem and a rare find in an industry where there are too many bad apples who are just looking out for themselves. As we soon found , he has amazing instincts and a deep knowledge about the market and the underlying dynamics which really helped us in buying the right house at a great price. Another great thing about him was that even though, in the beginning , we did not really know the area and what we wanted other than the fact that we wanted to be close to the Ocean, Rich patiently worked with us over 3+ months showing us different properties in different towns and astutely listened to what we liked and did not like about each house and by process of elimination , found us the right house in the end . We never felt pressured to make a decision and above everything else, we always felt that Rich was very honest and upfront about everything and that he was on our side no matter what. When we made a really low offer, he would let us know what he thought and when we tried to offer too much , he would tell us his thoughts as well ( even though it would have been easier for him not to ). He talked us out of making some really bad decisions . Thanks to Rich, we found a beautiful home near the Ocean in a fantastic town with great schools. I would highly recommend Richard Murphy and will definitely work with him, should we ever need to buy or sell a house in the future.

ZillowVERIFIEDIn full disclosure, Rich is a relative, however, he helped my mom tremendously. She was moving from the North Shore of Boston to Plymouth (very different area). She had lived on the North Shore for over 70 years and this was a huge change.He took his time showing her many different areas. We didn't realize how big Plymouth was. Rich started looking at various home then at various condominiums. In the end Rich helped her decide that renting would be best for her. He has successfully handled her lease negotiations and my mom couldn't be happier....
