ZillowVERIFIED Before we decided to list our house, we carefully reviewed the performance of all the major realtors in our market. When we finished that process, Peter Heines and Pacific Sothebys were at the top of our list. Peter impressed us with his responsiveness and listening skills from the start. We wanted to get our house on the market as soon as possible but knew we had to complete a few projects before we would be ready. Peter got back to us within a day and after a brief conversation, we agreed upon meeting within a few days. Shortly after our initial meeting, we selected Peter as our realtor. During the meeting we expressed our desire to get our house on the market as soon as possible, and the need to complete our projects quickly. Peter provided us with a list of contractors he had previously worked with and provided us with the opportunity to meet a professional home stager. Peters results were impressive. We were able to meet with one of his recommended contractors within a couple days and they promptly started working on our projects the next day. This relieved a lot of stress and allowed us to focus on packing and staging our house. Peter got back to us a few days later with his pricing and selling strategy. Peter presented his recommendations which were tailored to our specific needs and wishes, and we were able to quickly agree upon a listing date and price. His strategy was to price our house at a level that would generate a lot of showings activity within the first 3 weeks after going live. Sure enough, within a day after going live, we had three confirmed showings appointments. As it turned out, we had one full price offer after the first day which we decided to accept. Our house was literally in escrow after 3 days of being listed. Peter handled all the negotiations and escrow details, allowing us to focus on packing and moving. His selling process helped reduce a lot stress which we greatly appreciated. Peter checked in with us several times during escrow to make sure everything was good and on schedule. We highly recommend Peter Heines and strongly encourage anyone considering selling their house, to meet with Peter before choosing a realtor. He did a great a job for us. When I finally needed to sell my home, Peter went right to work and told me what I needed to do. Peter is not a typical sales agent and does not impose any actions but rather has the best advice in the industry. He is a patient and a pleasant person to talk to and goes the extra distance to see how you are doing and keeps you well informed of the entire process. Since we had already relocated out of state, we needed personal items taken care of and Peter didnt even hesitate to help us and went well above and beyond what most Real Estate agents do. Peter knows his audience and can suggest and get you the best possible market price for your home. Against my own suggestions, I listened and did what exactly what he told me to do. Never the less, Peter gave me his card and said to call if I ever had any questions. I called several times with general questions that he not only answered, but provided additional useful information to supplement. I decided to give him the opportunity to list the house when it was ready. We followed a strategy that Peter laid out. As a result, we listed the house on a Friday afternoon and by the following week we had 4 offers. The house sold for $90K over asking price. Peter brought in an excellent videographer who did an outstanding job creating a video of our home. Peter also had high quality fliers made up. From start to finish he worked patiently with us, explaining everything in layman's terms, making sure we were comfortable with every document we signed. I'm what you call a pain in the behind when it comes to certain things (very meticulous) and Peter didn't flinch. When I was needy, he was there, when things got confusing, he was there, when things went wrong (nothing is ever perfect, he was there). Day or night, weekday or weekend he was available by phone, text and/or email. Anytime we needed clarity, he was there........did I mention he was always there when we needed something. He helped us with by providing numerous referrals that saved us a TON of money (saved us .75% on our mortgage loan through his referral, saved us thousands of $$$ on his arborist/hardscaping/landscaping referral....the list goes on). When we first moved into our home we had a weeks worth of rain and our pool flooded, he offered to come over and help.........who does that after a sale is complete, Peter does. When we were having issues with our home warranty after the sale of the home and couldn't get through to the company who got involved, Peter did. Seriously, the guy's top notch and the only person I'd recommend if you're looking to buy or sell a home. Our situation was somewhat unique. We found a home we wanted, but we needed to sell our home first, and the sellers of the home we wanted to buy also needed to sell their home. He listed our home and had it sold within 7 days, for $28k over asking price and made sure all contingencies went down without any interruptions or delays, even through the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we still closed on time and moved in on time. I'm not sure what else I can say to people looking at Peter's reviews except this.............if you want an honest realtor, who doesn't sugar coat anything and is completely transparent to ensure you have the knowledge you need to make good choices, the trust him to help you buy or sell his home. He puts his customers/clients first, and at the end of the day that's what really matters isn't it? Updated Review (04/01/2020): This is our third transaction with Peter and for a good reason, he's the right person for the job and the ONLY person you should consider if you want exceptional representation! Without a doubt, Peter is by far the best real estate agent I've ever worked with or met over the last 45 years. For context, I have over a dozen friends within San Diego who are real estate agents and I still chose to work with Peter over friends I know in the same industry.....why you ask, simply put, Peter's work ethic, drive and passion! He puts his clients first and you always feel like his #1 priority. The week before closing I had some water damage happen unexpectedly. I gave him a call to inform him and within minutes he was at my property making phone calls to help resolve the emergency and even offered to oversee the repair. Can you think of other real estate agents who go to this level for their clients, I can't? Like everyone, we all want to get top dollar for our home and he went through every detail to ensure we got top dollar. He is very professional and easy to communicate with and I believe he had the best interests of our family in mind throughout the whole process.
