Moving to Walnut Creek from out of town we were not able to do a final walk-thru of the home and our agent did not guide us here. The agent should have facilitated this. Moving into the home the seller left appliances, trash and several truck loads of their personal belongings. Very frustrating. We bought a 2M dollar home that was not move-in ready. We blame Pete.

He will help you craft a budget and discuss an easy to follow formula for getting top dollar. He offers "ala cart options" for you to pick and choose from when deciding which upgrades will bring you the best return on investment. He reviewed our offers, explained which offer was best (or risky) and why, and gave us options for countering. I am an attorney and felt that I knew enough about contracts and the real estate process to effectively represent my wife and I in a real estate transaction. I was wrong. Thankfully, we came into contact with Lori and Pete of Pacific Union. To begin with, their intimate knowledge of the Pleasant Hill/Lafayette/Walnut Creek area including the neighborhoods, schools, activities, weather, housing price trends, contractors, future values, traffic, child care, ect., was invaluable. Our transaction was not a smooth one due to complications on the seller's side, but Lori and her team helped get us through the process as stress-free as possible. I do not just mean talking us through it. I mean numerous strategy meetings in order to come up with a plan to help facilitate the seller's exit and personal needs, getting the house ready for inspection and appraisal, locating contractors, getting various bids for remodel work, and a host of other issues. This takes hard work, availability, and a mind capable of thinking outside the box. Lori and Pete were always available for us.
