Paul has your back. He is as much a trusted advisor as he is a real estate agent. I felt completely confident in my decision, in large part because of Paul. We were purchasing a property with particular requirements and we were from out of state. He was able to make the most productive use of our visits to the area. On several occasions he checked a property and emailed pictures and videos prior to us purchasing expensive airline tickets. He is very helpful and supportive during all the steps towards purchasing a home, something especially important when you are not in the area. We called Paul, he said he would be as involved as we want him to be, if we want to look ourselves and only call him when we want to make and offer, or have him go with us to look at every house in Olympia. We decided to have him with us every step of the way. He created a list of available homes that match our criteria. We picked out 10 homes we wanted to see, he drove us around the next Saturday to look at every single house. He knows the Thurston County area really well and did his research on every house we wanted to see. His professionalism was top-notch, he followed our lead and if we said no to a home, he immediately moved on, yet never rushed us to make a decision. Everything was at our comfort level. He was always easy to get a hold of, he returned all phone calls, texts, and e-mails promptly. Overall it was a great experience and we would use Paul again and recommend him to friends, family and strangers. We initially contacted Paul about a year ago after seeing the glowing reviews for his services. As first time home buyers we had a lot of questions and wanted to find someone we could trust to guide us through all phases of the process. Despite being months away from a potential purchase, Paul was very willing to sit down with us to help us understand the process and learn what we were looking for. After the first visit with Paul we knew there was nobody else we would be willing to work with.Paul was particularly adept at helping us identify the kind of home we were looking for without ever being pushy. Looking back, we realize now that Paul probably had a better idea of what we were looking for before we did ourselves! Throughout the entire process Paul was always prompt and reliable with communication. On more than one occasion we called him excited about a new listing - hoping to schedule a viewing sometime the following week - only to have him offer to show the listing that same day! Paul was incredibly helpful with our many questions about the process; he never made us feel naive (even though we probably were sometimes), and we always appreciated the fact that he would refer us to the appropriate source for questions beyond the scope of a realtor. Paul was also extremely flexible in working with us. We actually negotiated the contract while I was on a brief deployment, and Paul was completely supportive and willing to work with us despite some minor communication challenges due my deployment. Pauls many years of experience in Thurston County also provided a huge benefit when it came to identifying service providers associated with buying and maintaining a home aEUR" weve used several that Paul recommended and have been completely satisfied every time.Pauls service in the military and current involvement in multiple community organizations gave us faith that we were working with someone of character and values. During each of those transactions, Paul met and exceeded my every expectation I had of him as my agent. The most recent purchase (closed April 2011) was a short-sale and the process was tricky and sometimes strenuous (at least for me). However, Paul handled everything in a calm and timely manner. He answers questions to the best of his (extensive) knowledge and is very resourseful in finding information when needed. He would go out and film homes we were interested in and email them to us before I bought the non-refundable airline tickets. On visits he took me to over 3 counties looking for just the right home. He spent time educating me on points of interest, schools, safety and commute times. Most importantly, I came to trust Paul like a brother. There is absolutely no other realtor I would have that much faith in. He is knowledgeable, honest, hardworking and just a nice guy. Buying a home was stressful, there was a lot on my plate with a move and everything that goes with that but I was confident that Paul was looking after my best interests.
