She was the only broker who gave us the straight facts. Not just the good, but the bad and ugly as well. I recall her advising us not to automatically assume we could rent the property; we should make sure we could afford it, even without the rental income. Every other broker told us buy-buy-buy you will have no trouble renting it.Patty became an invaluable advisor and friend. She helped us find service providers in the area and advised us on both the long and short term implications of our decision. We just closed on our house in Southampton and we are thrilled. I doubt that we would have pulled the trigger without her by our side.

ZillowVERIFIED My wife and I were recommended to Patty by the Westhampton office of Saunders after we decided to shift our vacation home search east of the Canal. We worked with Patty for almost two years and she has been the most knowledgeable and responsive real estate professional we have ever encountered. We purchased a home through Patty in mid-2014. We wanted to take a moment to highlight the degree to which Patty is responsive to customer needs. We looked at between 30 and 40 properties with Patty. In several cases, we had questions and concerns of a legal and/or zoning nature. In each case, within 24 or 48 hours max, Patty had pulled in colleagues, firm resources or personal contacts to get the bottom of these issues. Most significantly, it is the manner in which Patty delivers challenging news which sets her apart. If a particular need we had wasn't going to work because of a property line setback requirement for example, she would tell us what is and what is not possible in her view. The information we got from Patty was always factually correct and accurate. This approach has defined our entire relationship with Patty. Everything is factual and aboveboard. For sophisticated buyers spending substantial sums of money, we can give our highest possible recommendation to Patty Oakley. She has indeed elevated the standards in our mind of what the real estate buying process should entail in the Southampton/Water Mill area.
