Review Pat Barton and his SBH team are outstanding! Pat's personal style is low key but extremely effective. The staging and showing experience was amazing. The still and aerial photography used for marketing our home was well beyond our expectations. Also, due to Pat's long experience in Hampton Roads he was able to recommend contractors to address every staging or Home Inspection requirement during the sale process. The tools that Pat provided to us for our new home search were also very effective and timely. Although it took us awhile to find the right house for us Pat stuck with us and provided all the information we needed to make the right choice. Thank You Pat & the entire SBH Team!

Review At first I tried to sell my property myself and then was referred to Pat. It just felt like the right move from the first time we met. A professional video started things off along with a few suggested action items. Pat was there every step of the process and showed our farm to quite a few interested parties. We negotiated several offers and were given excellent advice throughout the process. There were a number of challenges that had nothing to do with Pat. Pat's laid back, calming demeanor, combined with his expertise and work ethos reduce the stress associated with home buying.Pat had 2 offers on our home within 9 days of listing and we sold for $1k under the asking price. Pat has a solid team supporting him and network within the area. Pat had a designer come in to select paint colors, counters, and other updates that would sell the house. He had a professional photographer take excellent photos. He knows how to use technology to market the house and make selling convenient for the client. He had a list of inexpensive and reliable contractors. We had 2 offers in 9 days and closed within less than 60!When we looked to purchase a house, he provided us with a wide range of options. There was zero sales pressure. When we found a home, Pat had a network of folks to make closing go as smoothly as possible.Buying and selling a house can be a stressful experience. Pat has a laid back demeanor, you'd never know how hard he is working behind the scenes to make things happen. Review When it comes to any professional reviews, I believe it is best to leave comments free of emotional or preferential treatment. With Pat, this is truly not possible. Pat is very professional but Pat is also an incredibly caring, personal, and compassionate realtor. We had a very difficult closing due to circumstances outside of Pat's control, but Pat walked with us every single step of the way. Pat made us feel like we were his most important clients, if not his only clients. I know this is not the case and we certainly were NOT his most lucrative clients, but you never would have known that. Pat treated us like he was going to receive the commission of a lifetime and I know we were on the low end. Pat is a great realtor because he loves what he does but also because he cares so much for the people he serves. I would recommend Pat to anyone looking for real estate in this area. He is a magnificent negotiator and he is honest every step of the way. Even when it is tough to be honest about a tough situation, Pat will be honest and explain how best to overcome the obstacles you are facing. Pat is incredibly knowledgable about the local market and real estate in general. I didn't know Pat when we started looking at houses in this area, but now I hope to continue to know Pat and call him my friend. Pat is a great realtor, but Pat is also an incredibly great person.

He sat w/us often, guided us w/pricing for the market, made suggestions as how to improve access to the house, and KEPT re-assuring us the 'house would sell'. He managed to find the buyer by holding an open house when we didn't think such a thing was possible.
