ZillowVERIFIED I needed to buy a house and a coworker recommended Paige as a realtor. During the first home visit I knew that was the right decision. He knows how to: - Identify issues: He pointed out brick stairs at the house entrance were slightly uneven, with signs of sagging and attempt to fix it with cement. - Spot past fixes: At some point there must have been a leak in the bathroom as he saw stains on the baseboard. - Not good enough quality: He pointed out the carpet was new, but would last only a few years. It was probably installed for the sale. - Warn about potential problems: On some occasions he let me know water heater or roof was aged and I would have to replace them in a few years. - Praise the positives: When the the house had new roofing, good quality of the siding, composite deck. This is the kind of knowledge I don't have and it was very useful. He has never been pushy to find or close on a house, even when the market was slowing down. That was another positive, in my opinion. As I'm new to the area, Paige indicated additional neighborhoods to consider, such as Smyrna or Dallas. He also told me about the rush pattern on I-575, considering my commute to work. As some buyers were struggling to obtaining financing, he recommended me to talk with a loan company from the start. That could be the deciding factor to buy a house in case there would be competition (and there was). We communicated by email, text or phone calls. He always replied me back within reasonable time. He suggested a strategy for an offer and after the inspection he also helped me with which items to pursue, with the negotiation not focusing exclusively on money.

I was a first-time home-buyer in the area and he knew it inside and out - schools, neighborhoods, up and coming areas, and good advice towards properties with good ROI's.He was able to explain the process thoroughly and helped me gain a lot of knowledge as far as assessing real-estate (not many realtors would sit down and explain how to look at comps and the bank appraisal process fully so that you could better vet houses before seeing them). He was very knowledgeable on what to look for when looking at properties and showed me as we went. When assessing potential on houses that might need repairs or upgrades he had both knowledge of costs and contacts to get soft quotes from. He was readily responsive at any time of day and really killed it during the offer and negotiation stage during my purchase (I didn't expect to get a credit towards my closing for some of the repairs in this hot market).

ZillowVERIFIED Paige Slyman was a godsend during an incredibly stressful time in our lives. I am a college professor. As such, hiring can happen quickly, particularly for Fall start dates. I was offered and accepted a position with Morehouse College in May. We had to sell our home in Utah, buy a home in Georgia, and move all before August 1st. Needless to say, our lives were frenzied. What we needed most was someone who would listen, not be pushy, and remain a steady, calm force in the midst of our happy chaos. Paige fulfilled all of these needs and more. My husband literally flew overnight to look at a house that we thought was going to be our dream home. It was not. They had an amazing photographer. While we were disappointed, Paige stayed with my husband all weekend long and saw 20 houses over the course of two days!!
