My husband and I had looked for 3 or 4 years on our own but when we became serious about buying a home we knew we needed professional help. I had found a house online that I was interested in and I messaged the listing agent with questions. That agent was Lesley, and I was impressed from the get-go! She and her husband, Ned, were EXTREMELY knowledgeable! We wanted land to build on and I could not believe how much we did not know, haha! OGM leases, easement rights, GIS searches, comp research, perk tests, subdividing, flood insurance, clean and green, HELOC. She provided recommendations for a mortage broker, contract manager, builders, home inspector, and more. Lesley and Ned worked SO HARD for us! The market was so competitive that when we found something we were interested in, Lesley would drop everything to communicate with the listing agent. I'm not sure how many dinners she was making or in the middle of when we needed her to meet us at a house or land as soon as possible because there were already 3 offers on it. I also could not tell you how many properties that she researched for us or took us to go see. 50+?? That was just for the purchase of our new home! He knows the warning signs to look for (e.g. that roof is shot, that deck isn't up to code, that hill is causing water to seep into the garage etc...) and ballpark what needs to happen to fix it. He's not a cheerleader trying to move the house, he really helped us avoid some duds. He was also a steady hand with negotiations. After losing a few bidding wars, I thought we'd be lucky to get a house at asking price in this market, so when we finally found "the one" we were ready to overpay to lock it down, but Ned kept a cool head and ultimately saved us close to 20k! ZillowVERIFIED As a residential contractor I have the advantage of meeting so many real estate agents and when it was time to sell our house(and subsequently buy a new one) I knew Ned and Lesley were the perfect fit to represent what we were trying to do. Ned and Lesley have the perfect balance of a professional knowledge of their job as a realtor but they balance that very well with their personal side of befriending their clients and having our best interests in mind. Recently we closed on our new home and honestly believe we are done looking for homes unless we get an investment property at some point. Its a bit disappointing because we wont have that connection with the Bruns as often as we did during the buying and selling periods. They were so easy and enjoyable to work with and made us feel so comfortable every time. I guarantee youll be super thrilled with them selling your home or helping you buy a new one.
