I was way too close to getting myself into a very bad deal on an owner financed home and Nathan provided me the education I needed in a manner that I could understand and steered me towards a much more sound decision. I'm a first time home buyer using a VA loan as well and Nathan was highly adept at guiding me through this intimidating process. He was in constant communication throughout and was always very quick to respond to calls, emails, lender issues etc. There was just an endless amount of things to coordinate and I'm sure it was all happening at a hectic and stressful pace on his end but he made it nothing less that a completely easy process for me. Any time I was confused about a term I didnt know or something we had to get done he was there with an answer that I could understand and it would serve to help me connect more dots about the whole home buying process. ZillowVERIFIED Without Nathan's willingness to go above and beyond to get us the property that we wanted, we would not have this beautiful 15 acres! We are moving from Tennessee and in this search, I have had several experiences with agents who were unwilling to work with me or very unresponsive since my intent was to purchase acreage to transfer our farm to rather than purchase a pre-built home with land. Buying land to build on in Whatcom county is a pain. Being an ex-real estate agent myself, I understood their position - but as a buyer, it was still very frustrating. Then I ran into Nathan! Before we found this acreage, he worked with me for months, helping me research property after property. Sometimes long distance, sometimes in person. Not only was he persistent in pursuing this purchase (which being a land sale, would net him a relatively small commission when compared to a pre-built home purchase) - he actually hiked the blackberry infested property with me (and a machete). That says a WHOLE lot about what kind of person he is! We put in an offer, it was refused. We tried again, it was refused again. But Nathan wouldn't give up. We looked at other things but he knew I loved this piece of land and it was perfect for re-establishing our organic farm. So he kept at it until we got an offer accepted. Now - I sit here and watch the deer walk by in the woods, make jam and other goodies from the long forgotten orchard we found under the blackberries and think fondly of Nathan because it wouldn't have been possible without his determination to get me what I wanted and needed. If you're looking for an agent that will do everything in his power to get you what you are dreaming of - if it's anyway possible - Nathan will be your guy!
