Taunee Pembrooke, Mickey's associate showed us around, answering questions and pointing out features, but with no pressure at all. She made us feel like she had all the time in the world and we were her only clients--and we were still in the "just looking" stage. We talked about our interest in the property, but realistically we needed to sell or rent our house. No problem, she arranged to have Mickey look at our place and work with us through the selling process. The follow-through was wonderful. Both Mickey on the selling side and Taunee on the buying side were always available and open to meet with us when we needed them, even late evenings and weekends. What was most remarkable was their professionalism--it's clear they understood how to represent us and to keep the sale of our property and the purchase of the new one separate and clean. They also know how to blend the professionalism with friendliness. Never once did we feel like we were nothing more than "clients." Both Mickey and Taunee treated us as people, listening to concerns (and sometimes fears) with respect, offering suggestions and guidance, but also willing to work with us when we wanted to do something our way. The advice Mickey gave us on preparing our house for sale was spot on.Because of Mickey's contacts and reputations with other realtors we had potential buyers viewing our house the first weekend it was listed. And, unbelievable as it sounds in this market, we had a serious offer within three weeks. It was almost too quick!On the purchase side, Taunee was wonderful getting us through negotiation with the sellers. The sale was emotionally difficult for the sellers, but Taunee was so respectful of their feelings that they in turn could respect our negotiating position. And when the inevitable glitches pop up in a real estate transaction, Mickey and Taunee kept everyone calm and the situation smooth and on track right through both closings. The important thing for us in this experience was not how fast our house sold--in this market, that's just a matter of luck--but how steady, calm, and professional Mickey and Taunee were. Because of their way of doing business, treating both buyers and sellers as people that matter, and not just looking at the money transaction, two houses changed hands happily for everyone. We can't recommend Mickey and his team enough.
