As I moved my things out of the house to begin repairs, Melanie was my cheerleader and coach, supporting me through the process of packing up 20 years of my life! Once the repairs, clean up, and photos were completed, Melanie put the house on the market (Thursday) and planned an open house for that weekend. It was under contract by Tuesday, less than a week later, for the asking price!! Due to all of the prep work Melanie suggested, the inspection and appraisal passed easily and I closed a little over one month after it went on the market. I called her because she had more homes listed in my area than anyone else, and I listed with her and sold very quickly at a great price! For instance she spotted that one house had a drainage system installed around the basement walls. She has a wonderful network of people around her. She not only helped us find our house. She also helped us find a mortgage broker with lower closing cost. We also met our new insurance broker through her. They helped us save money on all our policies. She probably knew we weren't serious since we were pretty clueless on the process, but she took the time to educate us on what we needed to be doing to get ourselves ready to buy and what the current real estate climate was.
