My family and I used Matt Evey of John Hill Real Estate as the listing agent for a property. Matt did a great job, and our transaction was not an easy one. Matt made a very hard transaction easy, as it was an estate sale with multiply seller in multiple states and time zones. Matt did a great job keeping us all abreast of the details and happening throughout the transaction. We relies on his knowledge of the market to help easy through the process. We needed to get yard work and repairs done, Matt being local and in tune with the neighborhood got us the best offer and he stayed on top of the transaction, which closed on time. Matts emails and calls put all of us at easy about the who where and whys of the market, which meant a lot to us. He made it so easy that we were able to cut down on our family conference calls and rely on his guidance. We have been involved in numerous real estate transaction in the past, which caused us reservations on listing a house in a different state then we all lived. Quite honestly this was the easiest transaction we have ever been involved in and we credit Matt for that. You cant go wrong with Matt Evey and John Hill Real Estate.

I was worried about about selling my mother's house from out of town. Matt made it simpler than I thought possible. He walked me through the process, helped me come up with an asking price, described what prep was and wasn't needed done for the house to be shown, alleviated my anxieties about the buyer's concerns and requests, and negotiated the final deal. He skillfully guided me to a good asking price in such a way that I understood the reason why that price was the correct place to land so that even when we had an offer for 1% over the asking in less than a week I was comfortable that the offer was good, not too low, and worthy of accepting rather than waiting, hoping, for a higher one to come along. Matt was constantly in contact with me with such speed and regularity it surprised me. I would definitely use Matt again if in the market and highly recommend his services.

Matt was very thorough through the entire process. I briefly rented from Matt when I lived in Hollidaysburg. 717 Pine St was the address. The house costed me a lot of money in heating/cooling as the windows are all painted shut, yet still leak air. Three months after signing a one year lease I was presented a life changing job opportunity about 2 hours away, so I needed to move for this new job opportunity. As soon as I found out about it, I contacted Matt, and he proceeded to speak to me like a child and lecture me on the phone and tell me how disappointed he and the landlord would be. I have never worked with a person that was so unprofessional and unsupportive of a life changing opportunity before. It was very frustrating the way we were treated when we did our best to help the process go smoothly, which added unneeded stress to an already stressful situation. I recommend you to look elsewhere when renting or house hunting, no one should have to go through the situation I was put through. He would also not answer any requests for a reference after multiple calls from the next landlord. His office did respond to repair requests quickly, but that was about the only thing that went well. He also lies/exaggerates and has threatened to take action against me for posting a negative review previously and posted my personal information on here which was not appreciated.
