Tom Hume and Matt Hume visited our home one year before we planned to sell and gave us some excellent advice on what to focus on for updates and what could be left alone. They then met with us again 3 months prior to listing and again gave us excellent advice about fine-tuning the house for selling offering helpful tips for how to successfully stage our home and also how to manage the stressful weeks when the home is first on the market. All the advice paid off when we received 5 solid offers after just four days on the market. Tom and Ken Bajema helped us understand the offers and shared their opinions about the pros and cons of each but ultimately allowed us to decide which offer to accept. We never felt any pressure from them during this process but instead benefited from their expert guidance and their understanding of the process. Similarly, our home buying experience was also surprisingly smooth and stress-free considering this hot market. Ken Bajema took us under his wing and was available anytime we found a house that we wanted to view - and he took us there often within several hours. I know he had other clients he was working with but we always felt that he gave us his utmost attention and was willing to spend a lot of time with us looking at houses. Once we found a house and we were in the process of determining if this was "the one", Ken and Tom again laid out the pros and cons, gave us the comparable houses in the neighborhood, and spent as much time with us as we needed to feel confident that this would be a wise purchase for our situation. We highly recommend The Hume Group. In fact, we have already recommended them to friends who are listing their house soon.
