ZillowVERIFIED Many locals recommended Mary Snow and I had know her for some years. We toured my cabin and she made some recommendations to prep the cabin for prospective buyers. Her subsequent MLS writeup was super. Drone pictures from many vantage points and evening ones were excellent! Mary kept us posted when prospectives were going to be visiting. Really fairly soon she brought my wife and I an offer - she and buyer's agent negotiated several points - all was done amicably and we were kept u-to-date at every point. After that Mary took care of arranging all inspections and repair work - the contractors she found were very talented and very interested in just how we wanted the work done - they were also willing to work overtime to meet our closing date. When we sell our home we will definitely work with Mary again!

She expertly guided us as to what renovations and repairs should be made to the house before listing. As we did not live in the house at that point and were several hours away, she kindly found for us invariably excellent handymen, painters, and more to get the work done in a timely and professional manner. She went over to the house many many times to meet with these workmen and check on the progress of all these projects over several months. She kept in close touch with me consistently. Once the house was ready, it became immediately clear how well she knows the local market as the house got an offer at full asking price within a few days of the listing going up! Anyone hoping to sell a house in the Amherst and Lynchburg area should certainly give Mary a call. She was truly excellent and regularly went far beyond the call of duty in helping coordinate all the repairs and renovations to the house and really throughout the entire process. Not only did she offer suggestions to augment the features of our home and land, ( she suggested we paint our front entrance door a color that would aEURoepop out,aEUR? but she also walked the property several times and suggested changes that would clear a path to the river that bordered our property. We were especially grateful for her tenacity at the closing, insisting on changes in the contract that could have possibly presented problems in our using or reselling the land we retained.

Mary was able to pull her team together to market the property, find us a surveyor, work thru the details of competing offers. With the previous realtor, two sales were caught up in contracts that were not in our best interest and ultimately didn't lead to closing. Several times while my house was up for sale, Mary would go by and correct problems that occurred . . . like when pipes froze: she disconnected the dishwasher. Once, when a mole dug a trench under the front porch, she jacked up the porch and disposed of the mole. She was like Annie Oakley with a rifle, or Florence Nightingale with a stethoscope! There was no challenge she didn't meet, and always with a smile on her face and a song in her heart. I couldn't recommend another realtor.
