The original agent spent 3 weeks and could not get us a single serious interest in our house that we lived in for 18 years and invested heavily to upkeep it. ZillowVERIFIED Mary came highly recommended by a family member and several of their neighbors. As first time homebuyers, we were completely clueless about the homebuying process. Mary was extremely patient to walk us through each and every part of the process and answer all of our (many!!) questions. She showed us numerous properties on several occasions. During our walkthroughs, she would point out defects in them that we may have not otherwise noticed, and offered us solutions on how they could be remedied if we were interested in the property. She was able to give quick cost estimates for repairs/upgrades to help guide us with our dreams and helping us stay on budget. When it came to the budget, Mary was contentious of it. We set a number that we weren't comfortable spending above and Mary completely respected it. She never showed us a property above it, nor tried to convince us to increase it. She worked extremely hard to help us find everything we wanted while not spending over what we were comfortable. Once she figured out our priorities, she was extremely motivated to send us listings that worked for us. We took a few tries to find the right home. Mary took her time to write our offers, gave great advice during the process, and helped us move on when things didn't work out. We closed today on our home and seeing Mary's smiling face at the end was a wonderful sight. It was a lot of hard work (mostly for her!) and while she was motivated to help us close on a property, she worked very, VERY hard to ensure it was the right one for us. ZillowVERIFIED Before I hired Mary I had another realtor and things didn't go very well (this was an estate sale). So when I looked for my next realtor I interviewed a lot of people. What it came down to was sales (how many homes did the agent sell in the last year?) and confidence. Mary outsold other realtors 2 or 3 fold! And she had proof of same. She confidently said she had no doubt she could sell within our timeline. And she did! Short story, she got the traffic (she has a good network of people to draw from which is really important). She did good research on pricing which really helped me feel confident that we priced it correctly. We pushed each other when necessary but I was comfortable doing so - she knew the stress this whole thing was causing me and she balanced it for me. She's easy to talk to and approachable and accessible. Oh, and she answers her phone (key!).
