Q: 1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

Start saving early. Decide how much home you can afford. Check and strengthen your credit. Explore mortgage options. Research first-time homebuyer assistance programs. Compare mortgage rates and fees. Get a preapproval letter. Choose a real estate agent carefully. Talk with an experienced RE Agent that can take you by the hand and educate you about the process of buying from A to Z.

Q: 2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

Fortunately, whether you need to sell fast because of a new job, a life event (e.g., a divorce), or financial reasons, there are ways to speed up the process. Finding the right agent will give you peace of mind that you will be taken care of. Q: 3. What types of clients have you worked with?

I have worked with all kinds of Buyers and Sellers. First time buyers, relocations, Buyers/investors who want to flip homes to the sellers who want to upgrade or downsize, to some that need to sell fast for different reasons, being health, job transfers, or in some cases because the bank is threatening to repossess the house and we need to do a quick short Sale. Whatever your situation, I have the experience to help you!

Q: 4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

OMG, I have so many wonderful and fulfilling transactions, but the ones I love the most are the ones where I make a significant difference. Recently I listed a home where the sellers needed to move before the winter sets, as they were traveling back East and it would be hard to travel in the cold ice weather.. we had a good offer, and just as we were getting to the end of the transaction and they were packing their belongings, we received news that the buyers would not be able to qualify, it was shocking news because they supposed to be already preapproved and ready to go. On the other hand, I was referred to a VA buyer that was working for about a year trying to get preapproved and buy a home with somebody else, until he was referred to me...we were able to jump many hoops and get him preapproved fast to meet the seller's needs and close just on time before the weather got worse, so the sellers can travel safely. The sellers moved and I took care of all the reminding details to close and by the time they made it to the final destination, their check was waiting for them!. On the other hand, my VET buyer could not believe that he FINALLY was the proud owner of his very own home!

Q: 5. How did you get started in Real Estate?

I started in Real Estate as an investor. When we bought our first investment duplex it did not go well. After we closed, we found out that the duplex was not legitimate, the rent was inflated, and being this the first real estate transaction for our realtor we were not represented well, the seller, who was also a realtor took advantage of our realtor's inexperience to the point that we had to go to litigation: which lasted about a year. During that time, I did a lot of research about our rights as buyers and how our agent should have protected us from being scammed. Thankfully after one stressful year of having to pay two mortgages without being able to rent one of the units for a while, until the County said we could, we won. At the end of this ordeal, I told my husband that I found my calling in life...I went to Real Estate school and I became a Licensed Real Estate Broker. Since then, we have helped hundreds of buyers and sellers, I am an active investor, we own rentals, we do flips and we build our dream house; but above all, I have the experience to make sure that my clients do not go through, and suffer what we were forced to endure.

Q: 6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

Definitely! After high school, I went to college and received my degree as an Executive Secretay, with that knowledge I worked for two different Law offices that represented exclusively construction companies, After that, I moved up to work for two of the major construction companies in Lima Peru in the Legal Department, while I was attending the university to pursue my law degree. I traveled to the USA to visit my sister who I did not see for 2 years and it was there, in SLC, Utah where I met my future husband. I had to start all over again, learning English, working on my small business first, and later on, attending the prestigious Real Estate School in Belleview WA, Rockwell. I found that in Real Estate, I can apply all the education that I obtained in Lima, Peru. Since then, I have always continued my education to be up to date and to keep up with the changes in Real Estate. in English and Spanish!

Our experience with Martha started off great. So great, in fact, we put an offer in on a home she showed us and put Earnest money down. We were not from the area and were looking to relocate. After the house inspection, she suddenly disappeared to South America. Turned out the listing was shady and there were some issues on how the house was zoned. Weird stuff. Martha would not return calls, or talked briefly on a poor connection. Even the sellers agent 'seemed' confused with the process. We lost the Earnest money, and were left with no legal recourse because Covid stretched the statute of limitations. For a few months we thought she had left the country. We wouldn't have bothered writing this, and the hard lesson ended our desire to relocate. But then she began emailing us recently to ask if she be our agent again! I emailed a response about the loss incurred and if she planned on making it right. Then nothing for about a year. And now we're getting emails from her again. Use caution.

Ive known Martha for 30 years she is a great person with good values not to mention, a professional in her field. When I decided to sell my house I called on her because, she is trustworthy and I knew she would guide me in all the right directions to get the most for my property. She told me exactly what I needed to do to make my property more presentable. I was hesitant to put money into something I wanted to sell but she assured me that I would get more than my money back. Of course she was right! It took a little longer than anticipated to get everything looking good and the house on the market. I'm happy to say my house sold in 2 and a half months! Without a doubt, we would not have our new home without Martha Wrights help. She did everything. We found a home and she got us in to see it right away. It had multiple bidders. Her advice at this point was spot on accurate and so invaluable. She talked to the other realtor; convinced her that our bid was a really good one and thanks to Martha we won the home! It was a bank owned foreclosure that needed a lot of work but she got the bank to pay for some of the costly repairs one of which was a badly needed roof repair. We would not have been approved for our mortgage without that roof repair and certification. We needed her once again to find us reputable painters, handymen, flooring too. The list goes on and on. We will never be able to repay Martha for all she has done for us and continues to do for us. We were so lucky to have found her and so grateful too!
