ZillowVERIFIED I rarely do reviews but I so much to say about MarquesaaEUR| Weve recently relocated to Colorado Springs and went through two different buyers agents before we finally found Marquesa. Thank God we did! Ive lived in 9 states and owned multiple homes and Marquesa is, by far, one of THE best realtors Ive ever had the privilege of working with. No wonder shes not only one of the top realtors in Colorado, but the NATION, as well! I'm not sure how she remains humble, but she does. Marquesa is highly knowledgeable, responsive, organized, patient, kind, connected, comfortable, relational, compassionate, and so much more. Not to mention, her negotiating skills are topnotch. We knew nothing of the area and had very specific needs (acreage/farm, multi-units for income potential, not too far from the city, but not too close, mountain views that didnt break the bank, etc.), had already put offers in on two other homes (that didnt appraise), and at the end, we had only TEN DAYS to find AND close on a home (not kidding)! Considering what our wants and needs were, that was an impossible task! Not only did Marquesa help us find a needle in a haystack, she managed to negotiate our close date to match our timeline, got all the inspections set up and completed, did the research we needed for our property- going so far as to talk to the county on our behalf- worked with THE most challenging sellers agent weve ever seen, negotiated the price down so we walked in with automatic equity, and even worked with our lender to get our money to close figure down. In short, Marquesa made it possible for us to be in our dream home, and in less than 6 months, we now have a growing, successful Airbnb up and running. People come from all over the country just to stay here. I still cant believe it! I will forever be grateful to have crossed paths with Marquesa. Whats more impressive is that she didnt forget about us after close. She has continued to keep up with us, frequently reaches out to see if we need anything as we renovate our property, invites us to the special events she hosts for her clients (SO fun!!), and has even randomly dropped off treats. As we were buying a home in the Colorado Springs area while living in another state, we were grateful for a realtor that not only knew the area, but was very knowledgeable about buying a home. During our first phone call, Marquesa asked lots of questions so that she could fully understand what type of home we wanted. She took the insights from this conversation and created a home search account that would find houses within our parameters. She checked in often to make sure that the houses we were receiving continued to fulfill our wants and needs. We were able to fly into town one weekend and look at houses in person, but unfortunately Marquesa was already scheduled to be out of town for work during the weekend we selected. Not to worry! Marquesa had another realtor from her firm show us houses that weekend. That realtor was wonderful and stayed in constant communication with Marquesa and thus Marquesa stayed in constant communication with us. Despite the common notion that buying a house can be stressful, I did not encounter any stress expected throughout the process from beginning to end as far as the "controllable" things with Marquesa, lending, and closing. Being a first-time home buyer with no prior knowledge about the subject, I decided to work with Marquesa based on a previous encounter several years ago. I appreciated her non-pushy demeanor and provided my contact information with the intention of reaching out when ready. Despite knowing two other reliable Realtors personally, I ultimately chose Marquesa due to her consistent communication and genuine interest in my well-being. She would send holiday cards, invitations to events with no obligations, and emails with market updates without being intrusive. Marquesa made it clear that she was available whenever I was ready to proceed, without any pressure. Even though I did not purchase a home for three years, she remained helpful and kind whenever I had any questions. I was impressed by her responsiveness when I called her randomly to see a house. She arranged for me to view the property within hours. Again, after that, she did it with 3 other houses! She arranged to see it within hours, gave her personal and professional feedback to my thoughts. Once I decided on the house, she didd the offer within hours and negotiated hard on my behalf. I have later come to understand, all the things that the seller agreed to hardly EVER happens. They accepted our counter offer, however, Marquesa asked if they will not come down the extra $5,000, there were several things I was interested in that were already in the home such as a trampoline, pictures, curtains, patio furniture on the deck and balcony, security system equipment (to include base, all sensors and cameras) asked for a 2 year home appliance warranty and 10 year roof warranty (to name some) and the the seller agreed to everything. She also coordinated with the seller's agent to allow me to see it multiple times before closing within hours of the request. There were a few issues that arose 48 hours before the closing, which threatened to derail the deal. Marquesa went above and beyond to resolve the issues by working tirelessly behind the scenes with her contacts, the seller's agent, and even visiting the property herself. Her efforts ensured that the closing went smoothly, even though it required her to put in extra effort and rearrange her schedule. Despite my occasional impatience and irritation (due to things outside of Marquesas control), Marquesa remained calm and committed to providing the best possible service. She demonstrated excellent communication skills and kept me informed every step of the way through daily updates via email, text, and phone calls. Her vast network of professionals in the industry also helped streamline the process. Marquesa's knowledge and patience made her a pleasure to work with. She paid attention to my needs and wants, making the process smooth and enjoyable. She even paid for a second and third inspection out of her pocket due to unforeseen circumstances. I would highly recommend her services to anyone in need of a reliable Realtor. At closing, she surprised me with a personalized basket filled with goodies and useful items, demonstrating her thoughtfulness and appreciation for my business. She has since followed up several times to ensure everything is satisfactory and to address any concerns.
